Dance Dance Revolution Regular Dance Pad for Sony Playstation2 PS/PS2

Works great. Just like new

I purchased this dance pad for a charity streaming event. I needed something that wouldn't break the bank but would still serve the purpose of getting people to donate money so they could play a DDR song. The controller response is accurate and the pad is designed well. Yes, it is more slippery than pads I've used in the past and the grip stickers they include don't do much. I just readjusted the pad after each game and later I bought some grip tape that is intended for rugs and it doesn't move at all now.

My daughter likes it a lot

Got this to replace my Red Octane one that died. It took quite a while to break in - lots of crunching noises from a layer inside. But that's gone after a month or two of use. The pad still doesn't always register when I hit it - I think it is worst with the down arrow, but happens with others at times, too. Update 12/25/25 After using this pad for over a year, I declare it is properly broken in. No weird noises, no poorly registering arrows (only user error). Too bad it took a year to break in. I'm raising my original 3 star review up to 4.

Was Skeptical At First, Due Entirely To Other Reviews About The Pad. As Soon As It Arrived (When It Said It Would) I Immediately Took It Out Of It’s Secured Packaging To Test The Pad. Right From The Box, It Worked Without A Hitch. Just Plug N’ Play. No USB Slot (Thankfully). Very Responsive, It Does Slide On Carpet, But I Expected As Such. If You’re Interested In Buying A Pad, You Can’t Go Wrong With This One. For The Price And Packaging Alone, Is Worth It. It Doesn’t Feel Cheap, And The Cord Is A Generous Length. 5/5 Would Buy Again!

Like the title said, this mat slips all over the place and it's a toss up as to whether you get one that has most of the buttons register some of the time or most of the buttons not register all of the time. I bought 2 pads and othe first works about 85% of the time and the other had only the "x" button work. Unlike the initial pads that came with the game back in the day that had an anti-slip bottom, this one comes with 4 thumb-size sticky pads to hold the mat down on a surface which do absolutely nothing and are made even more useless on carpet. I bought carpet tape and completely covered the bottom of one mat and stuck it to a couple of foam puzzle pieces and though the bottom of the mat is now stable, the top slips, so when you step in any button, the top moves around and makes you miss buttons. Say goodbye to ever getting a streak on any DDR game. Cheap product and not in a good way. I sent one mat back but kept the second because of the tape I'd used on it. If you have the soft mats that came with your game still in working order hold onto them and treasure them because you won't get any nostalgia from these.

When I bought this mat, I thought it was exactly the same as the original mat that came with the DDR games, but I found I was mistaken. It does respond well and has good sensors for where you’re stepping on the mat, but it does have some sliding problems. As in the top material of the mat itself slides. Unlike the one that comes with the original DDR game, I don’t think the material on the top is connected to the pad itself. It’s not a huge noticeable bunch of the material, but causes enough of a slide that someone could get hurt if they fell. I’m very careful when using this mat and I would caution others to do the same.

Is remembering old times my daughters are grown so they love it . Is worth it

Everything works! Matt moves alot more then I remember when I was a kid. But just remember to look down and make sure your on the right arrows! Haha.
