Comprehensive and very helpful
Like all things effected by technology the equipment references and bias against the digital workstation seem a bit dated, especially to new students in this field, but the theory of what makes good dialogue and how to bring it to the screen is pure gold.

great resource to frequently use for dx editors.
a great tool and resource for the blooming dx editor. I began to read this when I graduated from film school where I mostly learned post production. dx editing is another beast so I wanted to sharpen my knowledge. I frequently open this as I’ve marked and highlighted and annotated throughout it. the most helpful parts of this resource are when the writer discusses workflows and collaborative nature between production/post/and producers & directors (aka the human side of things).

Best book out there!
I read the previous edition 3 years ago before I stared work in post. It was the only book that goes through the edit process step by step. It goes into great detail and gives you tips and tricks to make your life easier. The second time round i am picking up more and more techniques. Great book!

Great Value
This book is full of great information. I'm primarily a re-recording mixer but sometimes I have to do editing as well, on low budget projects. Much of the info I've just picked up over the years, but this definitely fills all the gaps in my knowledge. I would highly recommend it for anyone involved in sound for picture.
