I always wanted a high-quality mortar and pestle, but I did not want to spend over $40 for one. As a result, I never got one until now. I am obsessed with my new mortar and pestle. The picture on the web does not make any justice of how beautiful and sturdy this puppy is. I will be buying two more as gifts for my mom and sister. I highly recommend this purchase.

I like the rubber padding under; my old one does not have rubber padding so it slides and moves as I'm crushing herbs or nuts. Just the right size for me. The unpolished granite is better than the polished one.

Really solid quality. Feels like this will last forever. Did exactly what I bought it for and looks nice enough that my wife doesn't mind having it sit on the counter when we're not using it
