Can this be easily riden on gravel driveway or pasture? We live in the country and I am looking at something for my 5 year old son. Thanks!

We bought this for my 5 year old son to ride on our stone driveway and crabgrass lawn. I think it would be easy to ride on concrete/asphalt - he makes it happen on what we've got.... Doesn't get very fast on the grass, but likes stirring up dust on the stone driveway. If your driveway is true gravel, like pebbles/stones, I think he'll have a heck of a hard time getting going.

what age range is this suitable ?

We bought this for our 3 yr old grand daughter. Her two sisters, ages 5 and 9... love to take turns on it as well. This was a great purchase!

can my 8 yr old son ride this he is about 86 lbs?

Yes. Weight isn't an issue with this kart. It depends on height. The seat has a few adjustments to it and I've had kids ride it that were around that age on the first setting. They were about 49" -53".
