The good news, at least at the onset, is that these generic filters for the authentic Winix filters are less expensive and the carbon filters appear to be of the same material/quality as that of the originals. I bought two pair for my WAC5300 machines, and one of the HEPA-like filters has an extremely tight fit, while the other one slides in and out effortlessly. The material on these filters seems to be identical to the originals, but only time will tell their effectiveness. My original Winix filters didn't last a year as advertised (more like 9-10 months), but you could literally see the progression of dust/dirt accumulation over the course of time. I've only had these generics installed for one month, so again time will be the great determinator of how well (or not) they function. A thumbs-up is given for prompt shipment/delivery and receipt of all advertised contents.

Really helps keep the air cleaner! My husband's allergies were terrible because our filter had gotten so clogged. A few days with a new filter, and he is feeling better (and so am I). Note to everyone: don't let your filters go for months like we did! It won't happen again!

The hepa filter is a touch too big and goes beyond a "snug" fit. Shame as their other filters have been perfect fits.

Ordered these for my 71 year old mother to replace her worn out filter. She informs me they fit perfectly, and are half the price on Amazon as she was paying for them at the bed place beyond the bath. She's happy. I'm happy. Will order through Amazon from now on.

While still moderately costly, this is the best price I have found for this type of filter. Its seems just criminal for a filter to cost so much, but this is what my air purifier uses. When purchasing my next air purifier, I will do more research on the cost of filter replacement.

I have the Winix 5500 and these are a perfect fit and work just as well as the name brand. I live in an extremely dusty area and have 2 German Shepherds and it is hard to beleive how much these will pull in and purify. As long as the price stays low I will continue buying these.

Works great, fits perfectly into my Winix 5300 air filter. This would be a 5 star product if it was cheaper than $40. Only about ~$15 difference from the original, and these cannot be that expensive to cut in bulk.

I was hesitant to buy these because IMO replacement parts from non-OEM sources usually don't even fit, let alone work as advertised. However, these fit AND work; don't hesitate, save yourself a bunch of $$$ and buy them.
