Works exactly as advertised
This is a great, easy way to add or relocate an existing switch. The range is excellent: my transmitter (the switch) is about 60' from the receiver (the part that wired into the junction box) in a covered outdoor location and response to the switch is 100% and instantaneous. I opened the transmitter up to note the battery type before installation. It is a CR 2032 "watch style" battery (included). I was impressed by the layer of silicone waterproofing inside the transmitter, a testament to their claim of water resistance. However, do note that replacing the battery requires opening the transmitter with a small screwdriver while trying not to break tiny and seemingly delicate tabs that hold the case closed. The transmitter is designed to stick on a wall with double faced tape and to replace the battery would require removing the transmitter from the wall and replacing with new double faced tape. Hopefully the battery will last for months so this won't become a frequent annoyance. It is a shame they didn't design this unit to fit a standard junction box with a Decora-style electrical trim plate; that would make for an easy and ideal installation with what is called an "old work" electrical junction box; such an installation would require a hole in the wall, but it would require no wiring inside the wall and would end up looking exactly the same as any other wall switch. The instructions are actually not as bad as some reviewers have stated, but what is confusing is the fact that they have used their own color coding for the wires. Red in their case is line (hot, which is black in US standards), Brown is load (again this would be black in the US), and the unit has a confusing two blue wires that represent neutral (white in the US). In the US we would customarily see only one neutral wire coming out of the device as neutral is normally not switch but instead passed through in the junction box, bypassing the switch entirely. This begs the question: does one need to separate a neutral in and neutral out for this switch, or can both neutrals simply be connected to the neutral bus in the junction box? I tested simply connecting both neutrals to the neutral bus, as is standard in the US, and the unit worked fine so the neutral is not for some reason switched inside the receiver, they are simply two leads connected to the same common neutral. I hope this info makes installation clearer for those who understand what I am talking about. Finally, I never tried using the supplied wire connectors; they appear inferior as many other reviewers have noted and likely not up to code as well. I used traditional wire nuts, worth a couple cents extra for peace of mind. Aside from instructions that are only fairly good, and confusing wiring protocol, and aside from a form factor that almost matches other switches but simply doesn't, this is a great product that works well and appears to have very good weather proofing. I cannot speak to durability over time as I have just installed mine today, but as of this moment I am thrilled with the ease of use, the price, the quality and of course the convenience it adds for my purpose.

Additional functionality beyond description; works well for me
While the description tells about connecting the wireless switch receiver AFTER the existing hard-wired switch, that scenario would not work for me. To illuminate my backyard, I needed a wireless switch inside my house to turn on/off outdoor lights on a backyard shed. The shed has a hardwired switch. I did not want to lose the use of the existing hardwired switch for the times I was outside around the shed. To achieve this, slightly different wiring is required. Essentially, the solution is to wire the output of the wireless switch receiver in PARALLEL with the output of the existing hardwired switch. (All neutrals are tied together.) This is permissible as the wireless switch receiver utilizes an internal relay. Doing this, however, does NOT result in the functionality of a 3-way switch: 1) The hardwired switch must be turned off to allow the wireless switch system to remotely turn the lights on/off. (The wireless switch system has full on/off control). 2) The wireless switch must be turned off to allow the hardwired switch to turn the lights on/off at the shed. (The hardwired switch has full on/off control.) Installation was quick and easy. The wireless switch and receiver are made well and seem to be well-designed. Pairing was easy per the instructions. The receiver's antenna makes for very good range, and the receiver is fairly small to fit inside a junction box. I like the wireless switch module's size and use of a common CR2032 battery. After wiring as described, it immediately worked as expected. Assuming reliability is good, this is a useful, easy-to-install product as well as a problem-solver! 1/28/23 Update Switch is still working well. I want to add that I'm using it to switch less than 100 watts of LED lamps.

Great product, well made, been using for 3 years and still going strong.
I love these switches! Easy to install, work well and look good. I have 3 of them in my house. I bought the first one 3 years ago, still works excellent for the light above my kitchen sink. The old light was a pull string with no wall switch from the 50's. Popped in an led wafer light and this switch...Slam Dunk!!! The others are in closets that had pull strings. Great product!

Tiny (1.5 x 0.9 x 0.87 inch) Receiver fits in any location. A REAL HELPER!
This was a real problem solver for me. I have a bathroom exhaust fan that I wanted separate control of apart from the lights that were wired on the same circuit. Access to the space above the fan was impossible for electrical wiring. This Thinkbee product is just what I needed. The receiver is tiny enough to fit in the exhaust fan wiring space with plenty of room leftover. The supplied quick connectors also made connections easy and fast. I literally had it all installed and paired in 5 minutes. This Thinkbee version comes with a standard size wall cover that holds the transmitter. You have a choice of placing it on the wall with the double sided tape provided or placing the plate into a standard size wall receptacle box. If you go with the tape option (I did), the cover does not sit flush with the wall, but sits slightly above it. I didn't think I would like that, but it actually doesn't look bad. The product is a refined device with a good looking transmitter switch. The transmitter sits in the cover and is removeable from the cover for battery changes. When you press the button a blue light blinks with each press. Each press turns the receiver on or off. You can program (optional) the receiver as what state the device returns to when power is removed and reapplied. For instance, in the default state "closed"; when power is turned back on, the receiver remains off, until commanded to turn back on by the transmitter. This is good for those situations, like mine, that you have another wired wall switch (say controlling lights) that you apply power ON to when entering the bathroom, but you have independent control of a connected fan (my situation) by the receiver switch. Once programmed, the receiver remembers pairing and open / closed states without power. If the receiver was programmed for "open" the lights and the fan (receiver) would turn ON with application of power. Without this great memory feature, you could have lights/fans turning on or off unsynchronized when you apply power. I was surprised to see that the blue indicator strip is made of glow-in-the-dark material, a nice, unexpected touch. The included instructions are pretty tiny, but they are easy to understand. There is a pairing button and LED light located on the receiver. The illustration showing this is hard to see. Once you know where the pairing button is on the receiver, pairing is fast and easy. My application didn't need anywhere near the claimed range, as my set is located about 6 feet apart, and the switch operates with complete reliability. The antenna on the receiver is about 8 inches long, and I drilled a small hole in the metal electrical fan enclosure to allow the antenna to pass through and along side the inside of the plastic fan ceiling cover so the antenna would not be seen, but would be able to receive without obstruction. Recommended.

Works great but installation is weird
The switch itself works very well and really easy to pair it with the remote clicker. So, overall, I really like the product, its simplicity (no wifi required) and the range is excellent. The installation, however, is not very elegant and there's nothing in the instructions to help. The instructions tell you how to wire it but don't offer any help on how to actually install the device. This went in a horse barn so I could turn the flood lights on at the barn from the house. Works great for that. The pic shows how I installed the device. I drilled a hole in the faceplate, mounted the receiver over the faceplate and ran the wires through the faceplate to connect to the power. Not elegant, but it's a barn and it works. I wanted access to the device (not behind the faceplate) in case I needed to resync. Two improvements would make this much slicker: LONGER WIRES. The wires that come off this thing are about about 4 inches long. That's ridiculous. I had to splice more wires in to reach the power. Should be 12 inches of wire. THE WIRES SHOULD COME OFF THE BOTTOM OR EVEN THE BACK. Then you could hide the wires better and run into the wall with them. They come off the front, bottom now instead of back bottom or the backside. On the wiring, I have no idea why it says you need a common in AND a common out. Common always is on. Only the hot is switched. I twisted the common in and out together and connected them to the house common and it works perfectly. You do need a hot in and load out for the switch. By connecting it directly to the manual wall switch, the wall switch overrides the wireless so you can still turn it on with the wall switch whether the wireless is on or off. Overall, I'm very happy with the product but a few things kept me from giving it 5 stars.

Very good product
I have installed several of these in both single and three-way light switches. This was to correct a very inconvenient switch layout in a new house. So far, they have performed perfectly and I have yet to change out a battery on the transmitter. You will need to have a neutral at the switch location, also to convert a three way, you will need to convert it to a normal single switch configuration (i. e., trace out the hot leg and the wire to the light and put the relay in this location). Other than that, the installation is very straightforward. It is a far better solution than pulling new wires to create a three way in a new location, since one relay can have up to eight switches (according to the manufacturer). I wouldn’t recommend it for any application except lighting as I don’t know what is the quality of the relay, nor how many switchings it will do in normal life expectancy. The blue LED indicates that the transmitter switch is functioning, which is convenient

Love It!
Had a switch for a ceiling light at the top of a stairwell; none at the bottom, it stayed on when my roommate went to his room. Adding a switch, even with surface wiring would be very labor intensive; this switch saved the day! Both switches worked first time; look Ma, no wires! The only downside is that the receiver, only a little less than an inch wide, deep, whatever, has to fit inside your light fixture. Mine was a low profile led; zero space. Solution, I bought a 5 1/2" round wiremold box that is 1" deep to accommodate the receiver. So, the fixture floats an inch down from the ceiling; still looks fine to me. Also, the package included two small objects with toggle-like switches not named in the instructions; they were a replacement for wire nuts, I went with wire nuts as they were less bulky.

Perfect so far
I got a light remote similar to this years ago but it quickly failed.. twice. Decided to give it another go with this different brand. It’s a quarter the size of the one I replaced! It’s compact size makes it fit much easier into the light box. Also includes very convenient wire connectors so installation was very easy, the instructions had some poor English but simple enough to understand. Importantly, it has a setting to allow it to work properly alongside a hardwired switch! By default it stays off after power loss, but you can easily change it so that it always goes to the "on" state, which is perfect for use with a switch. It has a long external antenna which was good because you can string it outside a metal box for better reception. The remote button has a nice size and look and pleasant to press, plus works without issue, with a gentle click sound. No complaints so far hopefully it holds up with time! (unlike my previous ones)
