Quickly connect a power supply.

I bought these to solder into my small holiday decorations which use 3 AAA batteries. Now, with this socket connected to my decorations, I use a 4.5 volt DC power supply I bought on Amazon, plug into this, and it powers up my decorations. No more changing out batteries every other day. No batteries running low and dimming my decorations. I have full brightness all season long now. This makes connecting a power supply quick to install, disconnect and put away for the season.

Reasonable Quality at a good price

Pretty decent quality for the price. These are not top quality but I am using these for 5V inputs into test boxes and they hold up pretty well. The solder tabs are a bit flimsy but they work and I haven't broken any.

NOT FOR FX PEDALS

I bought these Jacks for building my own effects pedals because they were solid metal. This was a mistake on my part because Jax for effects pedals should not be touching the metal enclosure, but I managed to use some plastic washers to insulate them and use a couple of them anyway. They are exceptionally solid Jacks but they are not good for building effects pedals, so beware
