Great strings!
I been a professional musician for many decades, with literally thousands of performances over the years. That adds up to a LOT of guitar strings! I have probably tried just about every brand of guitar strings out there, and for my acoustic steel string guitars, Elixer 80/20 Bronze Nanoweb are always my first choice. They last a long time, definitely longer than uncoated strings, and they keep that “broken in” sound from about 10 minutes after being installed for a very long time. My hands seem to sweat a lot, and that can be very hard on strings. When I switched to Elixer Nanoweb strings several years ago, I immediately noticed how much better my guitars sounded over the life of the strings, and how much longer that fresh sound lasted. Besides sounding consistently good for a long time, I am probably spending less money on strings than I was when buying cheaper strings more often.

Worth Every Penny
Although you'll spend nearly twice the money to get into a set of Elixer strings, it's money well spent. I know that as a college student I had always heard of Elixir strings but could never justify spending the extra money. However, after trying a set, I have been playing nothing but Elixers for the past 10 years. I'm not going to pretend to know the science behind any of this, but can tell you that these strings make any guitar sound much better. They typically give a bright, even, and deep tone that you simply don't get with the budget brands. Additionally, they last nearly twice as long before needing to be replaced. Lastly, I will say that the webbing on these strings makes them much easier on the fingers for beginning and experienced guitar players alike. Sliding up and down the strings wont cut you up nearly as bad as other brands. One point of clarification here: buy the NANOWEB instead of the POLYWEB. As the Poly coating wears off it can be uncomfortable to play and adds an ugliness to your guitar that any civilized being shouldn't want. Keep your baby looking good and she'll be good to you. However, if I remember correctly, the poly-coated strings did hold their sound and playability even longer than the Nanoweb coating, so if that's more of a priority for you don't feel bad about getting those. In summary, if you're looking for the best guitar strings on the market, you've found them. Figure out the correct weight of strings for your guitar and order some. I highly doubt you'll regret it.

Amazing. Great. Long lasting....and buy whatever you want.
Wow. I mean, these strings are classic by now but I bought these as a test set with my new acoustic guitar. I wanted to see what strings I like so I bought these, Elixir Phosphor Bronze, the Martin MSP4200 SP, D'Addario EXP11, and D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze to do some sound/feel comparisons. I bought all these strings in DECEMBER 2014. I figured I'd just wear through each set of strings, take some notes on them and figure out what ones I like best on my guitar....well, it's been over 5 months now and I haven't replaced these 80/20s. All the other strings are still in the packaging waiting for their trial period. These strings sound great and age well which is quite a feat. I know, I know, that can't be possible. I play regularly (at least 3 times per week, 80% strumming rhythm, 20% lead solos) and by some stroke from Zeus, these strings still sound good. It's true there's all sorts of talk about coated strings and losing sound quality and dampening resonance and yada yada yada. The way I see it goes like this. Unless you are a professional, someone looking for a very specific sound, or an audio engineer, nobody is going to care if you have coated vs uncoated strings. 98% of people won't even know the difference, they will just think "wow, who is that awesome person playing guitar. Gosh, I've always wanted to learn guitar." You will be another person with another guitar. But don't let that get you down. This might be a controversial thought but just play whatever strings feel good for you. In all likelihood, you're going to be the only person who cares about it. It's plain and simple, these strings feel really good. The truth is you can read amazon reviews forever and have NO idea how these feel on your fingers. Try out a few sets.

Great Strings
These things never disappoint me. It's one of the most consistent products I've bought over my adult life thats always good quality, and it never changes. That's exactly what I want for strings.

disappointed with shipping and handling but not the strings
I opened the shipping box (unscathed) and the string box (pack of 3) was wrapped in some dubvious repackaging wrap and smashed. It looked like it had been previously opened so I had to individually check each string set for proper guage, condition, etc. They appear to be all there and in proper condition so that's all I can say on the matter of shipping and handling. I don't know the shelf life or how to tell if they are fresh. I've used these strings many times and appreciate the quality and sound on various Martins, Gibson, and Breedlove both unplugged and plugged-in to acoustic amps, etc. I'm not sure if the strings I use on a HD-28 would sound just as great on any guitar. I've found that individual guitars sound different and react to guage as well as materials used so I can't give you a guarantee that these are the best you can buy. I have found better sounding strings for each individual guitars I own, but these are great "general/overall" strings that sound great and do not need replacing near as often. I don't gig or teach. I play almost daily for at least a half-hour (if not 2 or 3) but I keep 4 guitars out of their case and handy so the more guitars I own and strung-up the less those strings get played. I try to keep a few sets on the shelf. They are dependable. If your in search of the best guitar strings, good luck, I've gone down that rabbit hole (been stuck at intermediate level for over 50 years) , and you'll find as I have that its like finding the best sounding acoustic guitar, your opinion of how something sounds matters not.

Sin duda creo que estas cuerdas tienen un elevado precio ,sin embargo, su armónico rico sonido y gran calidad no las convierten en "caras".

Have always used elixirs on my acoustic and will continue use to as long as they sound this good! Straight forward guitar strings, the nanoweave texture makes them slightly more gentle on your fingers which is great when you have a cheap acoustic with action that is a mile high.
