Presto 06009 10-Quart Kitchen Kettle XL Multi-Cooker

Awesome fryer and steamer. Don’t waste your money on the others. The kettle is large and holds about a gallon of oil. Large enough to fry large fillets or chicken for the entire family without having to do multiple batches. A lot more expensive but well worth it. Heating element is incased in bottom so it won’t interfere with the food if you fry without the basket. Steams and boils just as well. Did a shrimp boil and it heated up fairly quickly and maintained temp while time. Definitely recommend.

I've used this so many times to make so many different recipes. I'm in a wheelchair and can no longer use my electric stove top safely. I wanted something large and deep enough to make pasta, stews, soups and this does it! So easy to clean as well. As I can no longer prep meals, etc. on my kitchen counters, my husband built a butcher block pop up work station, installed a double plug and now I can use my Presto to make meals safely and comfortably.

I have purchased different fryers over the years and most of them are just hard to clean and get all the grease out of every nook and cranny. This Presto 10-quart kitchen kettle is big enough to take on all of your large frying needs. You don't have to worry about the oil boiling over and it maintains the proper temperature. It holds one gallon of oil. It's easy to use, fill with oil up to the line and turn it on the temperature for whatever you're frying. It heats up pretty quick. I let my oil cool completely and strain it into another container and use it several times. The pot is SO easy to clean too. It is nonstick so no worries about stuck on oil. My favorite thing to fry is chicken. It comes out crispy and taste delicious. I have bought my last fryer for sure.

This is easy to use, cooks fried food at an even temperature & easy to use. Took a star off for the food tray & handle, the handle goes up & down. When you are frying, it’s in the fryer & gets really hot which makes it hard to take out. We make it work but wish the basket & handle were made differently. Besides that it’s a great fryer, easy to use & clean!

I wanted a large kettle to fry fish outside and this pot is great. It gets hot and stays the temperature you set it for. The oil temp doesn’t drop to a simmer when dropped fish into the hot oil, fish is crispy and quickly cooked. Being able to wash the entire pot (it’s submersible) this is a game changer (clean)

This is a major upgrade from my last fryer. It was very easy to set up and clean after usage. It heats very quickly and outperforms other brands. It sturdy and looks great sitting on the counter. Overall its cooks food without any issues and has a large oil capacity.

I bought this pot a year and a half ago. I've been enjoying it so much that I decided to write a review here. At first I wasn't happy with it because, when I tried to heat oil to 400, it only went up to 375, according to my digital thermometer. But I didn't want to return the poor thing, so I kept it. Then my son got sick with the flu and I wanted to create steam for him. I used this pot to boil water, and it's so big that it held plenty of water and made tons of steam. I steamed him for 3 hours a day at 95 degrees room temperature (used room heater) for 7 days, replenishing the water occasionally. Son recovered without seeing a doctor. He got the same flu a few years before that and took him a month to recover, after a doctor's visit and antibiotics and everything. I give all the credit to the Presto pot for my son's rapid recovery! So recently, I've started making the British fish and chips. This pot is perfect for it, keep the temperature steady at 375, and it's big enough that I can fry 4 large pieces at the same time. I made 2 pounds of fried cat fish in 3 batches, not burning or under cooking the fish like in the past. My fish is perfectly golden, crispy and fantastic! I am moving to a small apartment soon, and I'm taking my Presto pot with me, even though it is very bulky and takes a lot of space. It's worth it!
