Thank you for your interest in our retractor. On the TW-1R you can change the hard stop on any length of the wire. Seperate the black plastic covering on the stopper and you will see a screw you can losen and adjust the hard stop on any leght of the balancer. Another popular solution is to use a balancer instead of the retractor. Check out our TW-3 Balancer a lot of tesla owners have been useing that for thier charging system. You can adjust the balancer on anylenght of the stroke to balace your charging cord.
