How long does it last?

What do you mean?? It kills the worms its not like flea meds. There is no worm prevention meds. It takes maybe 5 days to work its way through the system so technically they safe from re-infection for them 5 days maybe but it doesn't really work like that. Your dog can get worms again the next time they are exposed to them. The recommended dosing time for pets that are regularly exposed to worms is every 30days but again it does NOT PROTECT them from getting worms just kills them after they get them. Best way to protect them scoop your yard everyday at least 2xs a week if only 1 dog and big yard. Also keep their food in a air thight container feed them when on a schedule leaving food out for hours and hours can have flys get to it them flys lay eggs dog eats it than gets worms. Last when walking your dog do let them sniff poop do your best to stop them..

Why are some labeled HC?

HI, You are looking at the old packaging where letters "HC" are clearly visible. On new packages, letters 'HC" are much smaller and not very visible. But they appear on every package, regardless of number of tablets inside or dog's size. So in case of your question - they are all labeled HC but on new packages HC is not as much visible as on the old ones. Take care.

What's the expiration date?

8/2017 is what's on my box but I bought this last year so I believe that you will receive a up to date product. This product seems to work good without any adverse affects. Thanks and Have a Good Day Mike

Is this ok to use just as a preventative?

gave these to my dog she didn’t like the fact she had to eat them so I kind of hit him in her dog food and she didn’t realize it, but they worked really well on her. She stopped her butt king.

A Must for dogs!

These are a must if you have dogs that are near the country or rural areas. Dogs eat all kinds of things and can get worms. Two of my dogs had the diarrhea years ago and after a large vet bill, the vet just prescribed expensive dewormers, which I found here on Amazon, MUCH cheaper! So now I just give my dogs these every four months as a preventative.
