Q: are these for animals or people? reviews are pretty negative

When I bought the 6lb box, the nuts looked a little rough and there was a lot of broken oned, but I bought them for the squirrels so it worked out. I recently bought the 2lb bag, and they were beautiful. Great for people and squirrels!!

Q: Am i missing something? 6lbs at $32.99 is way less than $2.09 per ounce.

They divided 32.99 by 16 ounces in a pound. They forgot it was a 6 pound bag.

Q: Can these nuts be given to squirrels?

Don’t give the Brazilian nuts to squirrels. The amount of selenium in Brazil nuts are toxic to squirrels and can kill then. One might be ok per day but since squirrels cache them, there’s no way to know how much they’ll eat at a time. A squirrel rescue found squirrels dying from eating them. Even people shouldn’t eat more than five at a time because they are so high in selenium.
