Is this item dishwasher safe?

Dear customer, No, this puzzle feeder can not be washed in the dishwasher, please use hand wash

One of the white plastic pieces broke. Any way to buy replacements?

I had some of the white puzzle pieces missing and I was sent a new complete puzzle. However I did send in my complaint immediately upon receiving the product.

I don't know. I think it says so in the description though.

What are the larger holes for? There are 4 larger holes that food can fall through. What are they for?

The larger holes, I presume that you mean on the top, are for various points where the cat can insert his or her paw to manipulate and move the food toward the one end point where the food can be pushed out of the toy. Initially, when we first introduced the puzzle, we removed many of the plastic baffles to ensure the cat learned the game. As the cat became more competent with the puzzle, more baffles were installed to make the game more difficult. Once he got the idea of the game, we have made it as difficult as possible, and he loves it!
