Universal Knife Block Convenient Storage for Various Knives and Kitchen Tools

Great! I neglected to read the description, and from the pictures I expected it to be a polypropylene type, but it is wood (as the description says!). It's nice and sturdy, not super huge but enough for the mismatched knives that I have. Seems durable, and it's easy to clean.

First of all I love the color. That is what drew me to this one, then when I realized you could use it for numerous knives I was sold. I have 2 chefs knives, 2 serrated bread knives, I boning knife, 4 small paring knives, 2 of which are serrated and 2 kitchen shears, happily ensconced within, with no difficulty getting them in or out. I know, why do I need all of these, but they work for me. This is a great knife block with wooden case and plastic finger interior, that could be washed in the dishwasher.

This works ok for my ceramic knives that won't stick to the magnetized strip I normally keep my knives on. I have 2 knives, a steel and scissors in it. You can only get about a 6" blade in it. Mine arrived with one of the sides unglued, but I just put some packing tape on it rather than return it. Be aware, though, that the quality of this thing is very low. I paid around $12 for mine, and wouldn't pay any more than that.

We got this knife block a few weeks ago, and our impressions of it are mixed. On the one hand it's colorful & decorative, and stores knives as claimed. That earns it several stars. However, a) It arrived with the corners already knicked; the red paint was knocked off some of the edges. This was more of a "ding" to us, not worth sending it back. It was going to get knocked around a bit in our kitchen anyway. b) It's difficult to insert our serrated tomato knife with the forked end. ("Difficult" being a relative term. Every other knife slides in very easily.) c) I've already seen a couple of plastic rods cut and protruding from the opening on the side. I'm hoping that when the time comes we can get replacement rods without having to buy the whole thing. For functionality and fulfillment of its promise, I give it five stars. For arriving damaged and the other issues, I'm subtracting one and a half stars. Since there's no half-star rating system, I'm rounding up to four stars. If other problems present themselves, I'll round it down in an update. Update 12/2/2014: No other problems have presented themselves after six months of use. This knife holder is very handy, and other than the issues mentioned in the initial review, it's been great. Still a solid four stars.

Absolutely horrible ! Bought this July of last year. The "leg" was detached from the block and the bottom of the block is full of cracks. I don't use this much and randomly noticed this couple days ago. Can someone tell me how this can happen?!

I ordered this Knife Block without knowing what to expect. It came very quickly, was packaged well and I totally love it! it fits very nicely in my kitchen (does not take too much space). I have a lot of knives but use the same ones all the times (4 or 5) so this is the perfect block. You don't have to worry about the size of your knives because space is not an issue. The only knife that won't fit is my cleaver, but no worries....it's never used anyway :) Thank you Epare for such a brilliant idea.

The finish began chipping not long after I unwrapped it. The plastic sticks inside got deformed and bent. This is just not worth the money.

When I saw one of these kinds of knife blocks at my boyfriends house I freaked out cuz I'd never seen one before and had to have one. Instead of spending $50+ on other brands I found this one for $20. It's the perfect size for the number of knives I have and fits in with the amount of counter space I have. It's simple, easy to clean, does the job, and looks good while doing it :) Thanks for a great product!!
