. Review: Very enjoyable Jackson 5 music. It is a pleasure to listen to!!! - Very enjoyable Jackson 5 music. It is a pleasure to listen to!!! Review: The opener "Torture" is just great. That good base hook that throbs just gives ... - As a big time Michael Jackson and Jackson 5 fan, I must say this album in many ways gets underrated. What makes this album more special is this is the only Jacksons album that has all six brothers and it comes as the follow-up to that mega album in M.J.'s Thriller. With the fall out of the overprice in ticket sales and then M.J. and Jermaine not participating in the Torture video, I believe really hurt the album sales. Cause again Epic Records were expecting to sale at least 5 million by the end of October when it was released in July. But this record out of stars, I give it a 4 and here's why. The opener "Torture" is just great. That good base hook that throbs just gives me chills.. I call it Thriller 2. and the fact that song stalled at #17 proves to me that if Michael had done the video with his brothers it would at least been a top 5 hit. Cause again, let's face it as great as Thriller was if Mike didn't do that Thriller video.. Thriller wouldn't have sold over 40 million copies.. Cause I went back and look at the charts at that time before the Thriller video was released Thriller was slipping in sales a little.. but once that video dropped it skyrocked back to number 1 and stayed there for months.. Now back to the Victory album. Track 2 "Wait" sung by Jackie is another jam. Too bad it didn't make it as a single cause it is top ten worthy. The other great song is "One More Chance" by Randy. Such a beautiful song. The only song on this album I say is a throw away is Tito trying to sing "We Can Change the World". Other than that "State of Shock", "Be Not Always", "Body" and "Hurt" are good songs.. Don't miss out get this album. I also read that there were 9 other outtakes that were made during those Victory sessions.. Hopefully Epic will do an update of this album and release it with those outtakes.. I would love to hear them.

A Good Album But....
This was a good album except that it sounded too disjointed. There only seemed a few songs in which all 6 brothers (yes, all 6 are together) participate. As a result, one gets the feeling that some of them (probably Michael and Jermaine) were reluctant participants and the album comes off as a Various Artists album. However, with that being said there are still some awesome tracks here. Torture with lead vocals being shared by Michael and Jermaine is an awesome R&B song and one of my all-time favorites. State of Shock is the song that did the best on the pop charts as Mick Jagger gives a good and funny performance on this one. However, my favorite song besides Torture has become the 2nd track, Wait. Produced by and featuring lead vocals by Jackie, I just love the overall feel to this song. Several members of the band, Toto, play on this song and they do a good job. All in all, pick this album up if you love R&B or if you like anything done by Michael Jackson. It's not a bad buy.

Victory
Terrific album with all six brothers Torture with it's Pop sound and State of Shock with it's Rock sound and with a lifetime of memories. The Jackson's were without a doubt the best group of the 1960's, 70's and 80's. Whether it was Motown or CBS/Epic The Jackson's would always pull it off and make an instant classic like I Want You Back, ABC, The Love You Save and I'll Be There. Although there lives took different turns their music and sound will always be remembered not only by children of the 1950's and 60's but by the generation of children after that.

The Jackson know how to Jam
All the Jackson Brothers shine on this one. This album was a big deal in the mid eighties and you can still play today. Michael was riding high after the success of Thriller which spawned the Victory Tour. This is the record for that tour. One of the highlights is the song "One More Chance" which Janet Jackson covered in the early nineties, pretty cool!

State of Shock

Ogni fratello aveva una canzone da solista per l'album: Michael mise "Be Not Always", Randy "One More Chance" e "The Hurt", Tito "We Can Change the World", Jackie "Wait" e Marlon "Body".
