Great... until you LOSE the transmitter that's used to locate those objects that have receivers attached!

WOW. BUY IT
Honestly, this is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I was so fed up with facing all of the anxiety and endless searching that comes with lost keys. I lost mine several times each month, making me late to work as well as getting my kids to school. This was such an easy setup. You simply attach the alarm to your keys and keep the remote somewhere you know you will remember, works like a charm every time. The distance is pretty far, too. I have used this alarm while in my kitchen; locating my keys in my car, outside..you do have to make sure the background noise is dim but the alarm is decently loud. SO WORTH IT.

Range in cluttered area is not great & iInstructions could be better, but works well otherwise.
Note the "in open area" qualifier to the range claim. Maybe with line-of-sight that range is realistic, but in even a moderately wooded or brushy environment the range is more on the order of 30 feet. On the plus side, at least this is not dependent on cellular service, nor does it require the use of a cell phone to work. (I really hate stuff like that.) Instructions could be better. Not everyone encounters this type of battery often and the question arises "Which side goes in and which out?" I guessed "side with the letters on it out" and that worked. The little rings that connect the beepers to whatever are fine for something like keys, but if you're going to put it on a dog collar you might want something a little more substantial, like maybe a tiny chain linking link (good luck finding one small enough) or stainless rebar tie-wire, depending on circumstances. I got these because my dog has pulled off her expensive Blazin' collars several times while engaging in her favorite sport of rolling around tall grass and worming around in bushes. When it happens again, I hope this will help me recover the collar. I don't yet know what happens when it gets wet. If it fails real soon, I'll come back and downgrade the stars. If it lasts really well or stands up to severe conditions, I'll come back and up it to 5. Time will tell. Meanwhile, I'll look for one with more range.

Unique item that I would buy again.
Bought this for my daughter as she was constantly misplacing (losing) her keys to just about everything. So far it's working so I may order one for us retired folks.

Bulky.
Very bulky. Wish they were a bit smaller. They don’t fit on Amazon fire or Apple TV remotes. You can only hang them if you have a remote cover. Can’t change the tone type or volume. But they do work.

Batteries go out quickly with so much use.
I use them at work to keep track of our scanners. Saves me time everyday because we set them down and go help customers so much we forget where the are.

Test the product right away - if you're not happy return it, Amazon return policy is very good
This is the worse product I have ever purchase from Amazon, luckily, I was able to test the product, and Amazon will take it back. But this one was a gift for a friend, and I didn't do any testing. My friend gave the product back and I did my due diligence -- the 4 batteries for all four receivers dead - I replaced the batteries, the range is a lie you basically need to be next the transmitter to work, one the transmitters refuse to work no matter what and the other three work intermittently. Too late for refund but I figure this is the least I can do and let other buyers aware and to test the product right away. Maybe I was the unlucky one.
