Winsome Genoa Rectangular Coffee Table with Glass Top And Shelf, Espresso

I recently purchased this Winsome Genoa coffee table and was very impressed! it is very solid, sturdy and quite attractive as well. It took less than an hour to assemble. I have put together many pieces of furniture over the years but was pleased and surprised to find that all the holes for the small screws and the larger ones connected with the allen wrench were machined perfectly with no play or wobble... so everything went together flawlessly. I think you will be very happy with this purchase... nice, classy looking table, easy to assemble and a very good price!

Product arrived intact, no cracks, scratches or damage. Assembling is very easy except I encountered problems which slowed the assembly process down. One of the inner pieces on the legs (that a screw is supposed to go into) came out of the socket completely as I was screwing the screw into it. I had to toil with it a bit before I got it to stay in place (simply twist it back into position along threading and when its time to screw the screw back in...do not over screw it!). Next, bottom shelf dowels were not lining up with holes properly on 2 sides, they were a little off. I called a friend to help and turns out only needed a little muscle power. Although they were a little off and did not fit in he was able to make it fit using extreme force on one end, on the other he covered the leg with a towel and hammered it right in. Voila! I screwed brackets into place after that and that was a wrap! All done. Looks great! Looks more expensive than it actually is. Its got a good weight, very sturdy. I took one star off my rating for the assembly reason but we are very happy otherwise. p.s. do not try hammer part unless you know what you are doing. Good Luck! Enjoy!

The quality for the money is 10/10, and it looks gorgeous. I appreciate minimalist looks and this is perfect. It is classic, sturdy and the color is gorgeous. With the bottom shelf, I can change the look and keep the top clear and free of clutter. Love the peek-a-boo glass top (which is also thick and sturdy). I recommend using coasters. Great purchase!

DO NOT BUY. First of all, when we got the package, the box was completely ripped and torn with puncture wounds and deep scratch marks on the outside of the package. When we opened it, the glass top was completely shattered in a million pieces. It would have been a super thin glass top anyway, if it had not been broken. Definitely not sturdy. But highly disappointing that the packaging was not made to securely place the most fragile feature of this item. Secondly, the color of the wood did not match my expectations. It was more of a deep cherry color than an espresso-black color (like I had hoped), and it did not seem to be of great quality. I was not expecting perfection, but definitely something more than what the product seemed to be. I honestly thought it would be decent enough based on the other reviews, but believe me, you do not want to take a chance with this item.
