ATack Waterproof Patch and Seal Tape, Clear, 4 Inches x 10 Feet, Water Barrier Tape for Stop Leak Repair on Pipes, Chimney, Roof, Boat, and HVAC

Needed something to label tool bags, made of rip stop nylon. Fabric tags didn't hold, neither did duct tape. Got the idea to try using eternabond, discovered I was out. Found this Atack tape, and thought I would give it a try. Those that had problems with adhesive must be applying to a dirty surface. I put my pieces down, pushed into fabric of bags. Was hoping for long term sticky, but that is not the case. This is semi permanent. I can't remove the pieces. Works for my application, writing on it is a bit disappointing but in the end was a good purchase.

This repair tape is top quality, super sticky, and does work. The issue I had was I was trying to use it to join a 2 inch pipe to a fitting (like ducktape) so I kept having 'crinkled' edges that would let water seep since it couldn't bind fully. (user error) When I used it to patch a plastic tub it was fantastic!!! So in my opinion, you can't use it for all 'repairs' because it's not 'flexible tape' but if your area is a hole in a surface or a crack in something smooth it will totally work.

I use a lot of tapes and adhesives for projects. This one is excellent to work with as it cuts easily, has a nice plastic backing that peels off easily, and seems to be very strong. I used marginal ones too on Amazon and highly recommend this one. I don't often brag about these things but very impressed.

This tape is very sticky. The review I read claimed to be waterproof. For this tape to be effective surfaces must be very clean and dry. I bought this as a temporary fix on a PVC pipe that had a small leak. Because of the small leak (not a drip, but a slight weep), the tape did not adhere well, and did not stick. After rolling tightly, the water found its way to the edges of the tape. Did not work. I purchased some butyl tape with foil, and it did the trick. I gave this 3 stars, as it probably would work, as long as you can get the surface very clean and dry.

The thickness and flexibility of the material was better than expected. The adhesive was thick and strong bonding to metal. I used on an exposed cast iron well pipe which showed signs of rust through. Patched the rust hole with a metal shield and fiberglass epoxy and then covered the circumference of the pipe with ATack Waterproof Patch and Seal Tape followed by 2" PVC commercial tape. The end result was a superb seal with minimal cost for material. Great product!

This item did not hold up. It says it works under water, it says it sticks to anything, but in truth the only thing it sticks to is itself. I was trying to fix a leak, it was only a drip, it was in a pool, but easy spot right at the water line. It keeps falling off and going to the bottom, after about 30 seconds it wasn’t sticky anymore so trash. I thought I’d try again, this tome wrap a pipe, it says it’s great for that, this time above water and not high pressure, just another drip, after I wrapped it, I waited a few minutes and went back, the drip had taken all of the sticky off and the tape had fallen off. If it’s waterproof they must be talking about the solid part because the glue is not, I bought a roll of trash , nothing I used it on worked. The good part is I didn’t have to try to remove it when it didn’t work, it fell off every time on its own.

I like that it’s waterproof and easy to apply to different surfaces.

If you need to rely on tape sticking to to where you need it this does the job quite well

It's clear tape. It holds for a while but it is likely to peel off over time.

If you want strong/leakproof tape, this stuff works perfectly.
