Here's all the information you need to build a well or septic system yourself - and save a lot of time, money, and frustration. S. Blackwell Duncan has thoroughly revised and updated this second edition of Wells and Septic Systems to conform to current codes and requirements. He also has expanded this national bestseller to include new material on well and septic installation, water storage and distribution, water treatment, ecological considerations, and septic systems for problem building sites. Review: Excellent book - I got the edition revised by some guy named Blackwell. I bought this book after reading it at the library. It arrived, but did not stay [due to my use and abuse], in excellent condition. The information is excellent and detailed. But I wish there was more. For example there is a comment about what I think is cisterns, but no detailed instructions on how to build one. A value tool to anyone who needs or wants DIY water and septic, could literally save you thousands of dollars, even if you don't Do it yourself. Review: Overall Systems Knowledge not so much a how to guide. - I learned a lot about various systems and their function from this book. Not exactly a how to build guide, lacks that much detail. Good insight on the basics of a reliable system, concerns, enough to give insight into planning. I was hoping to get a better feel for different construction costs along with plusses and minuses between systems. It did give enough operation info to better understand but not a shopping list or parts to tally up as costs.

Worth every penny
Very detailed. Gives numerous examples, especially about codes and necessity to do it right. I feel confident in my own abilities having read this.

GFood deal!
The book arrived early, condition was as advertised and probably contains information that I will find interesting if I ever take time to read it. I liked the price, too

If you want to dig your own well this book ...
If you want to dig your own well this book covers it. I'm not sure most people would need to know that.
