Do not buy, utterly useless
Bought this product a few weeks ago to use while making a costume for my son for school. I was bitterly disappointed in it. It came looking as though it had already been used. From the very start it would not sew properly. The threads were all in place and it started to sew but a light tug and all the stitches came right out immediately. I rethreaded following the instructions really carefully but it made no difference. In the end I abandoned it and hand sewed the whole costume. Complete and utter waste of money and I would not recommend to anyone. I would like to give it 0 stars but the review won't publish so I am reluctantly giving it 1 star.

Slightly disappointed...
Despite the not so favorable reviews I decided to try this anyway. I shouldn't have. I tried to use it a few times and gave up. Perhaps I'm just not operating it properly but impersonally did not have good luck with it! Instructions are minimal and I found it very hard to work with. Id rather have a full size sewing machine or pay a seamstress!

Nice and it works.
If you can use a stapler you can use this handheld sewer. Easy to thread and to change colors of thread. Advice: Go stitch to stitch slow and not try to be in a hurry.

It's ok...I guess
It takes a lot of practice to get it right. It's not made for major projects - just quick fixes. It kept jamming up and the stitching came loose - then the knot was nearly impossible to make since the excess thread is wasted on the loops. If you can figure it out and if it works for you - kudos to you. But it's just not for me.

Quick and easy to use
This machine is durable and easy to use. The only thing that made it 4-star instead of 5 is because it does not secure the stitch at the end of it, I'm referring to the closure stitch after sewing. Therefore, if you pull the thread, it would just come off easily. What I do now is get it moving even after it passes through the cloth then tie the extra knotted thread at the end. Is there anyone who has a better idea on how to end the stitch? =) I need to learn how to do that, thanks. =)

Garbage!
I mean, come on. You know it's not going to be a solid, well made piece of equipment going in, But you would expect it to at least not - LITERALLY - fall apart in your hands as you touch it! It doesn't hold together. It doesn't sew. It doesn't work as a freakin' doorstop, either. Pure. Unadulterated. Useless. Garbage! Yup.

Need Skills I Don't Have
This handheld sewing machine sounded simple to use - good to this 70 year-old male who wanted something simply to handle hemming cut-offs and other challenges of the like. Wrong!!!! Found it very difficult to thread and open it wide enough to get around the two pieces of material I wanted to sew together. But I suspect the problem is more due to operator inefficiency than the machine itself.

Garbage - do not buy
Skip this item and go throw your money away elsewhere. This is your common piece of garbage shipped directly from a Chinese sweatshop. The stitching it does is almost pointless, because if you fail to tie it properly, one yank, and the whole seam can come completely undone. Sewing machines have been around for over a century. You'd think that, by now, someone would have miniaturized the things into a nice, compact package that ISN'T made for cheap in China, but right here in the US (or Canada or Mexico, all of whom who produce better quality items).

Me gustó, pero no dice cómo se usa. No contiene instrucciones ni nada. Creo que así no es muy útil que digamos.
