It does not take any special tools. The completed dolly feels very sturdy. Looking forward to using this with my sunfish for the next 10 years hopefully. Highly recommend so far. Review: Instructions inadequate - This is a good product, but the instructions to put it together were inadequate. The pieces should have been labeled with letters or numbers and/or the picture of the finished dolly should have been more defined so it would be easier to put together. I have to state that these directions were the worst I have dealt with in recent memory. Fortunately I am good at figuring things out.

Easy to install, very sturd.

This is a good product, but the instructions to put it together were inadequate. Very nice dolly
Love these types of dollies for our small sailboats. The instructions could have been clearer about which length bolts to use during assembly but other than that it's fit and finish is great. Would be nice if they offered non-inflatable tires as an option as that seems to be weak point on these dollies.

Very lightweight and easy to move
Very lightweight and easy to move. A little difficult to keep the prow of the boat snugged up to the nose of the dolloy.

Great dolly for moving your sailboat!!!
I gave this Sunfish Dolly for a Birthday present and it was great. We had tried a couple of dollies that indicated they would work for sunfish sailboats, but they did not. This dolly is so easy to use and makes it great to move the sailboat in and out of the garage, plus move it around on the shore. Just what we were looking for.

Quality product
I don't usually do reviews, but this dolly is worth doing one. Expensive, but quality materials, very well balanced, fit my old sunfish perfectly. Makes it very easy to move around.
