A fun and reassuring tale about dealing with worries from the author of the bestselling The Lion Inside. It's a beautiful day and Worrysaurus has planned a special picnic. But it isn't long before a small butterfly of worry starts fluttering in his tummy . . . What if he hasn't brought enough to eat? What if he gets lost in the jungle? What if he trips and falls? What if it rains?! Can Worrysaurus find a way to chase his fears away and have fun? The perfect book to help every anxious little dinosaur let go of their fears and feel happy in the moment. Review: Nice book - All of Rachel Bright’s books are beautifully written, with lovely stories. They’re full of rhythm, which makes them sound great when read aloud. My child absolutely loves them for bedtime! Review: An amazing book to help 3 years old not over wordy themselves about things and other people. - My little boy constantly worries about his little 18 months old cousin even when his parents are right next to him. He is concerned he will get hurt and gets anxious and physically stops him from doing things. I brought this book to help him be just himself and not over worry and over think himself about others whilst forgetting himself. I get his concern for others is good but my little is overly concerned that even his cousin parents get annoyed and bothered and say a few things to him that really upsets me and instead of thanking him for showing concern and telling him it’s ok we are here they say words that upset me and it bothers me that those words might affect his future hence why I brought this book to free him from constantly worrying. I love and feel blessed that he cares about others, it is a characteristic that not many kids have! This book will be an every night read for this whole week!😍😍 And we will be looking back to it whenever he becomes a worrysaurus ☺️☺️

Great for sensitive little ones
My 5yo is can sometimes be little on the sensitive/fretful side, especially in new situations. This book has been a lovely way for us to explore those feelings and find ways for him to calm his worries. The artwork is super cute and adorable, the writing is lovely, and it's not hugely long which makes it a pleasure to read at bedtime. His younger brother is dinosaur mad, which means this is a double win for story time. We also have another book in the series, which deals with angry feelings (I forget the exact name, 'Stompysaurus' or something). Overall, a great way to help explore challenging emotions with your kids, whether they're experiencing themselves, or to help them learn to empathise with others experiencing them.

Nice story
A nice little story about trying not to worry. My 3 year old was a bit confused by some of the illustrations. The wording doesn't always describe what's happening in the pictures very well and vice versa. Particularly the page where the dinosaur is worried about the storm. To an adult it's pretty clear that the pictures of dinosaurs in a storm are his thoughts but to my 3 year old it looks like dinosaurs that are upset in a storm. Mostly due to the fact that they are a different colour to the worrysaurus. All in all it's a nice story but the concepts aren't necessarily for younger children. Explaining why the dinosaur doesn't have a literally butterfly in his tummy wad difficult to explain when on the next page he is chasing one. Probably suited to age 5 and above.

Great for worriers! Wish I'd had this as a kid
I started reading this book to my 4yo and thought of my goodness this is literally me! She had me read it 4xs in a row and was enthralled. I like the way it teaches practical strategies, mindfulness etc. It acknowledges and validates the feelings too. I think as a child I was told not to worry, even mocked or shamed a little, just don't worry, it's fine, it's so silly! Now I teach my anxious kid that it's a feeling and thoughts and she can control them, she is strong ☺️💪

What a truly lovely book.
This book is so lovely! I bought it for our 3 year old son who is prone to worrying. It is a book that is very easy for young children to understand and also easy for adults to expand upon for them. The pictures are lovely, very few characters and the children can relate the worries to their own worries. I would definitely recommend this to all parents who have children that are worriers.

Really cute book about worries
I bought this for my 4 year old son who is struggling a little with worries during the pandemic and thought it was worth a try. It rhymes nicely and has lovely pictures that use colours to reflect the mood, so when the worrysaurus is worrying the illustrations go blue and the colours are no longer bright, it helps them pick up on what is being said even if they don't quite understand it. Good way to introduce language around worrying as now we can talk about the butterfly in his tummy and he can finally find a word and way to express it.

Dino Obsessed Children
Which boy isn't obsessed with giant, ancient lizards? This series is for all such little typhoons. They love pics and the story.

Beautifully illustrated book with a good message. Mindfulness, fears, worries - that all is covered in the book, because the "Worrysaurus" has these fears and plays the "what if" game - in his head However, he learns helpful and useful ways to deal with these initially challenging emotions. Adorable, entertaining and helpful way to show children the concept of mindfulness and a way to deal with emotions.
