Moriarty the Patriot, Vol. 1

This series literally starts with a bang!

First off I just have to say how sexy these men are!! One thing I noticed from the manga compared to the anime is, the manga is so much darker and intense. I know with all the laws and stuff on making anime they had to cut and change a lot of stuff for viewer discretion but the manga's are so much better!! I was never a fan of the actual Sherlock Holmes movies and series and didn't actually cared to watch this anime or read it, but damn!! I am so glad I did.

I enjoy a good villain back story and this is an excellent one for my beloved Moriarty. The writing really brings about the description Sherlock gave of him in “the Final Problem,” where he is described as a spider in the center of his web. The characters surrounding him bring that to the fore with their abilities and support. You can’t help but sympathize and understand the truth to his ideals during this time period. It’ll be interesting seeing his relationship with Holmes unfold.

As soon as I finished the anime, I knew I had to read the manga as well! It's such a well-written story with very attractive characters ahah but it came in perfect condition and arrived quick

For as much as Motiarty is Sherlock Holmes arch nemesis there isn't a lot of backstory in the original stories. Moriarty the Patriot fills in the gap and has a lot of fun along the way. I would recommend this series to any Sherlock fan. I can't wait to read the rest.

I got into this manga because of the anime that's currently being released. I really enjoy it, and wanted to read the manga, and it didn't disappoint. I'm looking forward to the next voles!
