Excellent light. A few minor inconveniences, but well worth the price!
The rundown: This is an excellent little light. I am a helicopter mechanic and required a light to work on tight spaces for inspections that last extended periods of time, and this light is perfect for it. It is not too bulky, the batteries last a long time if you don't keep it at max (which you really don't need to. Even the lower light settings are fairly bright). The light setting is adjusted in the back and is very nice/easy/convenient to adjust. This light is well designed. The light will NOT "slide" down your forehead. Good materials used to build it. The good: *It has 4 tilt positions (I wish it had one more to tilt it upward, but it works fine the way it is) *Has an excellent spotlight-to-wide angle range. *It has a sliding-type of dimmer in the back that works great. *The weight is very well distributed and does not feel heavy-sided neither in front (lamp), nor in the back (batteries) *The elastic can be adjusted easily to fit your head size, and it will not move on its own. *Good, strong aluminum body. Have dropped it several times from up to 10 feet, and she keeps working like a champ! The bad: *The lamp CAN come off the elastic strap (it just sort of "half detaches", but doesn't always happen,) *It takes a long time to charge (but for what I understand, you can use regular AAA. I have NOT tried/needed that as of yet, even when I USE it for up to 9 almost-nonstop-hours) *The lamp on your forehead could use a little more/softer padding (especially when you're wearing the thing for close to 10hrs a day, some days). The Ugly: *When in really tight spaces, the dimmer in the back can be moved by close by objects inadvertently. THAT could be annoying. For the price, though, this light is perfect and way better than other pricier/bulkier lights out there. This is why I gave it five stars: Because "the good" far outweighs "the bad" and "the ugly", in my opinion, and I would buy the same exact one again, if this one broke.

Fantastic, better than expected
I work in a fleet repair shop that I like to call the cave, because it is so dark and hard to see what you are doing. I bought this because I wanted to be able to keep my hands free while putting light on what I am doing and I didn't want to use a standard drop light cause they are a pain when trying to get them to hang and I was always burning myself on them. Anyway, this head light is awesome, I love the adjustable beam, wide area to narrow focused, and the pivoting head. When it arrived I thought the pivot point of the light looked flimsy and would break quickly, but it hasn't. I bought this in April of 2013 it is now February of 2014 I use it every single day in the shop while working and I have hit it several times against the under side of the trucks and even dropped it a few times. It is still working great. I also like the adjustable power output I start with it on medium and when it starts to get dim I turn it up to max and get a little more time from the batteries. Also the head band is removable so you can wash it when you need to. I can't really comment on the life of the batteries, they are rechargeable, but I bought a pack of them so I could just swap them out instead of having to wait for them to charge. and they are all getting weak. However I do remember that when it was new I was impressed with how long they lasted, that said, even with my weak ones I get 2 to 3 days of off and on use, probably 3 to 5 hours a day. PRO'S Adjustable beam, tiltable head Adjustable power control Rechargeable Removable head band for washing Solid durable unit, takes some abuse and keeps working CON'S NONE Love this light, if I ever need to I will definitely get another one.

My first one lasted 12 years
I bought my first one 12 years ago. I use it religiously for work and I have not exactly been gentle with it. It still works, the only reason I’m replacing it is because the wire harness from the battery pack to the light has gotten brittle and causes the light to flicker. This is an amazing headlamp. Very bright and large focus area, can be focused smaller, very durable, long lasting battery charge, 12 years later and the battery still holds charge for hours on end. Highly recommended.

Best light and adjustability by far.
Headband stretches out after a while. Light is the best on the market by far and VERY easy to manipulate and fine-tune from faint to blinding and from spot to flood and all points in between. LED wears out after a couple years but worth every penny if u want a serious light that will blow everyone else's away at your campsite. Great night ride light for cycling, too.

Exceptional product
It's well-made, dependable, comfortable, and has worked flawlessly for several months now. Provides plenty of light that's easy to aim and focus, and battery life is quite good. Brightness is easy to adjust with a wiper-style control lever. Best of all, the single switch only turns the unit on, and then off again - no cycling through 10 different modes and colors.. True, it doesn't have a red lamp for preserving night vision, but in my case, it isn't needed. This is one of the best products I've purchased in quite a while (after researching carefully). I can recommend it highly for anyone who uses a headlamp at work. It has the features you need, and is built to very high standards.

Awesome headlamp for travellers
Simply a great headlamp for travellers. I took this with me on a trip to Brazil's Amazon, Pantanal, and Cerrado earlier this year and it was just awesome. At 150 Lumens, the ability to focus made it much brighter than my 200 Lumens flashlights from Costco. It was great for night time wild life spotting, survived torrential downpours and was easy enough to recharge. Being paranoid, I do carry some alkaline batteries in my pack just in case the included rechargeables run out of juice. Actually I gave the headlamp to my private guide in the Cerrado when leaving Brazil as a tip and bought another one in advance of my coming trip to China/Japan.

Used daily and Love it!
A very worth while investment. The key selling point is the fact that the charging jack is integrated into the headband itself. This light is bright. On the max setting it's almost overkill, and kills the batteries faster. With the dimmer switch you have an infinite about of adjustment. If your work truck/van/car has a usb port you can charge on the go. If not I find that a cigarette lighter inverter is cheap and give you 120 volts to plug in the included wall adapter. If you need two hands while works and don't have time to constantly adjust a flashlight, this Headlamp is the way to go!
