We purchased 2 of these ankle braces 4 months ago for my 10 year old daughter. She started wearing these when she was in a size 3 shoe and they were a close enough fit to use on a daily basis while still big enough to allow some room for growth. With her latest growth spurt, she's now a size 5 and they fit perfectly. I think we may be able to continue using these through size 6, but anything larger than that may be too tight to pull these braces on and off. The smallest size brace that her doctor had available was an adult small, which she was miserable in as it pinched and bunched up all around her foot. We are both very happy with this purchase. The brace is made of a very sturdy material that is soft enough to be worn all day if needed. With the adjustable velcro straps, we can adjust them as needed to find the perfect level of support and comfort for her foot size. The brace stays in place and doesn't bunch up in her shoe the way others have. The velcro straps stay in place and don't need to be readjusted throughout her activities. What is really nice is that the brace can be machine washed and hung to dry. They've been washed repeatedly over the last few months and each time they come out looking good as new. We haven't run into any issues with shrinking, loss of elasticity, or unusual fabric wear with washing. My daughter is very active and feels she can keep up with everyone else with minimal discomfort when wearing these braces. While she is only supposed to wear them when she is being active, they are comfortable enough that she sometimes forgets she's even wearing them and will leave them on all day at school. They do make her shoes fit a little snugger, which is to be expected, so we compensate by using a wider shoe or loosening her laces more than usual. I highly recommend this product for any child who has issues with ankle injuries.

Works great at stabilizing my 9 year olds sprained ankle. Holds up nicely when he is playing sports.

Bought this for my 5 year old son after he rolled his ankle playing outside. He is able to put it on by himself. He likes that his shoes still fit on over it and in some cases it fits under his socks. It must be very comfortable as he has sensitivity issues but has never complained about it being itchy or uncomfortable. I have not worn it but it appears to offer a moderate level of support meaning it is sufficient for day-to-day activities but likely would not offer support during more aerobic activities. He wore it during his kung fu class and it worked well enough for that but he said his foot hurt after a day of gym class and playground activity. From a parents perspective it was exactly what I wanted, exactly as advertised, appears to be a high quality item, and I couldn't be happier.

This review is for the youth size of the Neo G Ankle Support. My 9-year old son experienced a mild ankle injury in a basketball game. After taping his ankle for a couple of games, it was clear that the support from taping was too rigid. We looked for different solutions including an ankle brace that ties up and the Neo G. My son felt the Neo G provided the necessary support without limiting the motion of his foot and ankle. He has used this support strap for two weeks as his ankle continues to strengthen. Overall, the product does what it is intended to do, is well-made, and is easy enough for my son to put it on before games. My son wears the Neo G over his sock. The Neo G is not too bulky and fits well under his foot without causing blisters and behind his foot without stretching his shoe or causing his shoe to feel too tight. Overall, he is very pleased with this product.

This product did its purpose. In 2 days my son was already better feeling less pain .because his foot wasn’t suffering at all. This product offer Good joint support for sure .

Well designed for support. Is bulkier than expected, difficult getting shoe on . Does not work if individual wears orthotics in their shoes.

I’ll start out by saying I'm not a child, but a 30yr old with very small feet, size 5 women’s. So the sizing in my opinion is not made for smaller children at all. I recently had ankle surgery and I was using ace bandage wraps inside of the walking boot for compression but also cushion. They sucked, and kept unraveling at the seems. So I found this, and the quality is amazing! I’ve been using it every day for a few weeks and it doesn’t show wear at all. It’s pretty good as far as compression goes, I wouldn’t say it’s extremely supportive. It also doesn’t fit in shoes very well, and it’s not very comfortable to walk with while in a shoe. It only fits in a couple of my pairs, definitely not all shoe types, it’s too thick. Because of the material it does make your feet sweat, so I wear socks. It says washable but I haven’t tried yet. Overall it’s a good buy, I’d recommend it.

I bought this for my 7 year old son who has hypermobility and very poor ankle stability after he had strained the same ankle multiple times. My son has size 13 infant feet. The part he pops his foot into before strapping it horizontally around his tibia is snug. It fits fine BUT I think in a couple of years he probably won't be able to fit his foot through the gap. This is the only slight grumble I have with it and I'm stating his facts as when I was ordering this I couldn't find a reference to size or age. My son loves his support. He has worn it every day since it arrived and he says that his ankle still hurts but not as much. In my eyes that's a win. He's never going to be pain free but if it helps I'm happy. It provides him with firm structured support around the base of his foot and wrapping around the ankle. He struggles to fasten his Velcro school shoes but he's adapted and I'm sure if the support is going to continue to be a regular feature I will find some lace up shoes for him to solve that niggle. He's not had a twist of the ankle since wearing this support :) It's a lovely colour which blends into socks and clothing and it doesn't look 'medical' to other kids. All in all....I wish I'd of bought this sooner. Would of saved a lot of twists and pain for my son.

Our daughter misstepped and probably overstretched her heel or ankle muscles too much - I'm not an expert in the field.. Moreover she couldn’t quite indicate what it was. After a week of limping, muttering and pain I ordered her this ankle support. However I forgot to inform my wife and by the time it arrived she already bought a similar support band from a high street sporting clothes discounter at a fraction of the price. And our daughter had already started to wear that one. We decided nevertheless to try and keep both. Also for likely future family incidents. The patient was impressed with both,. And she considered it very special that she could wear these to school and probably wallow in empathy. Initially this support band looked a bit more practical and sophisticated. But perhaps we put it on too tight. Moreover the open heel didn’t work well within her shoes. So after a few hours she switched back to the cheaper version and used that for the following days until her injury miraculously eased/cured. So this is an okay band and ankle suport. Its of good quality and should last for long. Its easy and swift to apply and the Velco system allows you to adjust and measure the pressure. But we found that there are good and cheaper alternatives outhere as well.
