Easy setup on SmartTV running android 10
I bought this for my 5 year old Sony Bravia Smart TV running android 10 and it works great! Less latency than Wi-Fi and always on vs needing to connect to Wi-Fi means my TV is snappier and caching is nearly non existent. Stop was easy, I literally plugged it into an available USB port and plugged the Ethernet cable into it. No drivers or apps needed.

Your TV may ship with a 10/100 ethernet port, this will help!
Great price and works perfectly with my Sony A80J to provide a faster wired connection through the USB port. Just plug and play, make sure to disable the WIFI.

Plug and play - works with Linux - rtl8153a-4 v2
Plugged in and it worked perfectly as far as I can tell. After running flat out for 10 minutes the dongle feels comfortably warm. iperf3 -c 192.168.0.120 [ 5] 9.00-10.00 sec 112 MBytes 940 Mbits/sec 0 322 KBytes - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [ ID] Interval Transfer Bitrate Retr [ 5] 0.00-10.00 sec 1.10 GBytes 942 Mbits/sec 0 sender [ 5] 0.00-10.04 sec 1.10 GBytes 937 Mbits/sec receiver iperf Done. iperf3 -c 192.168.0.120 --bidir [ 5][TX-C] 9.00-10.00 sec 112 MBytes 936 Mbits/sec 0 445 KBytes [ 7][RX-C] 9.00-10.00 sec 109 MBytes 914 Mbits/sec - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [ ID][Role] Interval Transfer Bitrate Retr [ 5][TX-C] 0.00-10.00 sec 1.09 GBytes 934 Mbits/sec 0 sender [ 5][TX-C] 0.00-10.04 sec 1.08 GBytes 929 Mbits/sec receiver [ 7][RX-C] 0.00-10.00 sec 1.07 GBytes 917 Mbits/sec 0 sender [ 7][RX-C] 0.00-10.04 sec 1.06 GBytes 911 Mbits/sec receiver iperf Done. perf3 -c 192.168.0.120 --bidir -t 600 [ 5][TX-C] 599.00-600.00 sec 111 MBytes 930 Mbits/sec 0 706 KBytes [ 7][RX-C] 599.00-600.00 sec 109 MBytes 915 Mbits/sec - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [ ID][Role] Interval Transfer Bitrate Retr [ 5][TX-C] 0.00-600.00 sec 65.2 GBytes 933 Mbits/sec 0 sender [ 5][TX-C] 0.00-600.04 sec 65.2 GBytes 933 Mbits/sec receiver [ 7][RX-C] 0.00-600.00 sec 63.9 GBytes 915 Mbits/sec 15 sender [ 7][RX-C] 0.00-600.04 sec 63.9 GBytes 914 Mbits/sec receiver iperf Done. Very compact but…
While the compactness is great, the cable is too short and very rigid, that makes me wonder about the long term usability of the plastic cable for traveling from office to office, and if the bending and unbending will break the internal cables. The adapter works well and the speeds via Ethernet are better than WiFi.

It works great on a Dell laptop with USB-C and Windows 11
I had to buy this when switching from a Lenovo laptop with built-in RJ45 ethernet to a Dell laptop which does not have built-in RJ45 ethernet. For the first couple of weeks, I was plagued by random disconnects and tried to be patient with troubleshooting since I had nothing to compare to (everything in the experiment had changed - new laptop, new ethernet adapter, etc). Then I decided to try something different. Everything sat on my desk, with the power-brick of the Dell situated right next to the ethernet adapter. On a hunch that the ethernet adapter might not have any shielding inside its housing, I moved the power-brick about 2 feet away. Ever since then, there have been no disconnects, and is rock solid. I am glad I did not return it. It would be helpful if the instructions included a warning about this specific (and more likely) scenario as opposed to the generic FCC statement about interference and reorientation.

Excellent
Works great, and no drivers needed on macOS. Works on my Apple silicon Mac natively.

Ethernet to USB A adapter works
Does it work? Yes Functionality: 100% Good: It’s small/compact. USB A is protected from dirt Bad: N/A Accuracy of Advertisement: Did not test the speed but going on websites; it seems responsive with the correct CAT cable Suggestion(s): have the indicator light be bigger or have it light up around the rim of the adapter to know that it’s plugged in Details: I plunged it into my ethernet cable and Lenovo laptop and went on different websites to see if it’s lagging or slow. It worked and was responsive. I tried different ethernet cables which made a huge difference. My longer cable made it slower. I switched over to a better CAT cable and that made a big difference. The adapter works and the little light indicating that it’s on helps a lot.

Unleash the speed
Wired connection to my Sony TV's ethernet port while more "reliable" than WiFi is only a 10/100 Base. Running a speed check in Netflix, it came up at 90 Mbps. Not even close to our 500Mb internet. But the TV did have a USB 3.1 so I thought I'd try this adapter. Wow, what a difference, now the same speed test reports 250 Mbps.

Bought this recently after trying another, cheaper brand that didn't work for me on either of the two PCs I needed it for. Well, you may have heard the old saying, 'buy cheap, buy twice'. I should've bought this one first. I used this on a machine running Windows 10 and a Mac. Both times, I just plugged it in, waited a minute or so for good measure and it works. Would buy another one if I needed it. The postage was also super-fast.

Does the job as expected. It is pure plug-n-play device with no installations. I am using it for my Macbook Air (13inch) and it works like a charm. The build quality is pretty good and has an inbuilt light which blinks to when connected. As always, Amazon delivery was spot on!

I bought this foldable USB to Ethernet adapter because I needed a reliable internet connection for my laptop when I travel. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it works. It's easy to use, just plug and play, and it folds neatly into a compact size that fits in my bag. The adapter is sturdy and durable, and it supports fast and stable data transfer. I have used it with different devices and networks, and it always performs flawlessly. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a portable and convenient way to connect to the internet.

Used for my laptop that has no ethernet port when I want to download something large - On my home Cat6 wiring it doubles the up and download speeds.
