MX Rat and Mouse Bait Station Box with Two Snap Traps for Safe Rodent Control (Black Lid)

I have managed to catch small rats with this trap box but, as the rats can get to the bait food from the side of the traps, medium and large rats can easily reach over to get the food without touching the trap trigger plate. Hence I've not caught any of our medium to large rats. It's also difficult to set both traps, in the box, at the same time as it's easy to set off the first trap you set when trying to set the second one. The lid of the box is annoying as it easily detaches from the box at the hinges when you open it. You can then accidently trigger the set traps when trying to reattached the lid.

Yes it has caught three mice but no rats, which we got it for. Seen the rats casually walking past it. The main problem is the weak plastic that it is made from. The traps have a very strong spring, which might be good, but makes it difficult to set without injuring your finger. These traps are held in place with small plastic lugs at one end of the tray, which have broken off as a result of the strong spring. The plastic catch no longer works on one of the traps so it cannot be set. The other is still functional but touches the lid, which has also now got a broken hinge, so easy to trip while placing the trap.
