No slip caps don't go on luer lock caps, nor would they fit. They are basically the same.

what kind of plastic?

Most syringes can tolerate a lot of heat. If you see the recycle triangle on the bottom of a plastic container and it has a 5 or greater, it won't melt. Don't know if that's what you needed to know but......type of plastic? Don't know.
