Works for 10D
This T-mount was purchase for my Canon 10D for my Meade LX200 and my old ETX90. I wasn't sure if this T-mount works for the 10D since the title is so specific about what it is compatible with but no 10D. There is another T-mount in Amazon.com that specified that it works for all these cameras plus 10D but it is a little bit more in price. Since this is my first dSLR and I know that 10D is the only dSLR that takes EF lenses (the new dSLR takes EF and EF-S), I wonder if this T-mount wouldn't work for the 10D. I know the major differences between the EF and EF-S lenses, the coupling mechanism should be identical. That makes me think it is impossible that this T-mount wouldn't work for 10D plus all the other Canon cameras that could take EF lenses. Fortunately, I was correct. This T-mount works for all Canon cameras that takes the EF type or EF-S type lenses. I wish the description isn't so specific about its compatibility but leaves out some other models. At any case, the quality is solid and it works very well. I didn't notice any flexing with the camera attached to my scope. Happy with this purchase.

This is a 5-Star T-Ring for Canon. I have used others that are 2-Star. Details are in my review
This is a 5-Star product. (there are other T-Rings that I rated as 2-Stars) Here is why it is 5-Star: 1) The fit is exactly right. Snug and without play. 2) The red alignment dot is on the top of the T-Ring, so you can see it when mounting and dismounting 3) Opteka included the pin that stops CCW rotation at the dismount position. If you look at their product page, in the last picture you can see the red dot on TOP of the T-Ring, and you can see a small screw below the end of the bayonet flange to the right of the red dot. This stops rotation at the dismount position. I initially purchased the Astromania T-Ring, and they got so many things wrong. The Red dot faced the camera, so you can't see it when mounting or dismounting. The Lens/T-Ring rotates past the dismount position because it does have the small stop-screw. And the fit was not as good. You can read all the 2-Star annoyances in my review of the Astromania T-Ring (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0140U9KLK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Solid Adapter!
The Opteka T-mount adapter is the most durable and heaviest one I've seen. I was skeptical about how strong it could be, but once it arrived, I was very pleasantly surprised. It was very sturdy, solid, and inserted into my Canon EOS Rebel T1i smoothly with a secure lock. Attached to a visual back adapter into my scope, it easily supports my camera and is very secure and tight. There's some beef to this ring. It's not cheaply made. I will first consider Opteka for other adapters I may need in the future.

Works great for my purpose
I use it to mount my Canon DSLR to my spotting scope. For my scope it requires an additional item that attaches to the T-Mount and the spotting scope. I bought that additional piece at the same place I bought the spotting scope. It's made of metal unlike some others and in my opinion will make it more durable over time.

It fits. True to the 60 year-old standard!
OK. This isn't really worth an "I love it" rating, but it works as advertised and is true to the 60-year old standard. I have an old slide copier that was a T-mount and came with a Nikon adapter...in 1968. I thought I'd like to try it again with a modern DSLR, and mine is a Canon 5DII (full frame digital). What do you know? It works. The slide copier is a disappointment, but that's not the fault of the adapter, which did exactly what it was supposed to do.

Make my 1600mm lens work like it was made for a Canon
I bought my Chinese 1600mm lens a few years ago when I had an Olympus e500. Now I have a Canon T3i, and with the flip out LCD screen and live view it makes using this lens much easier. The lens is cheap and basically operates like a telescope. The T-mount screws right in. This mount has given me back my super long and ridiculous looking lens, but I can take pics of craters on the moon so that's cool.

Misrepresented item by seller
I ordered the Opteka T-mount adapter from the Video and Camera Center to connect my Canon 40D body to a microscope adapter. The Video and Camera Center instead sent me a Vivitar knock off (has Vivitar silk screened on it and was stuffed into a Vivitar box) - probably made in China. The threads do not fit the camera tube adapter. The microscope seller said this was an inferior piece of equipment, poorly machined and not appropriate for my purposes. I have no idea whether the Opteka T-Mount adapter is worth buying - but beware the seller - Video and Camera Center. I recommend going to a local camera store if you are trying to do something as complicated and intricate as connecting a camera to a microscope.

Necessary for Canon EF EOS T cameras
If using the Opteka 650 - 1300 lens and I suspect their other lenses on a Canon T EF EOS camera you WILL need this adapter. I ordered the adapter when I ordered the lens. Then discovered the lens CAME with the adapter so now have two. Seems well built. All adapter need a gentle hand when being threaded onto the lens. Hurrying, forcing, etc. can ruin the lens or the adapter. This true for ALL adapters and not just this one.Since my ordering two, by accident isn't an expensive mistake and the item is small and might get lost, I'm keeping both. One will go in my desk draw for when I lose the other one... LOL

A GREAT T-Mount Adaptor
I bought this product so I could attach my Canon camera to my Opteka lens and for astrophotography (connecting camera to telescope). Full metal Build, hard, and works perfect with my Canon REBEL t6i camera. I like how it also works with telescopes that connect to a T-mount so I can connect my camera to it as well (multi functional). This product is just an adaptor so there is no auto focus or anything to it, just an adaptor and a really well made one at that.

excellent quality
Inexpensive and does the job perfectly (in my case matching a camera to a microscope). A good, solid and well made metal adaptor (I was half expecting plastic for this price). Well pleased.
