Uni ball, roller ball, fibre tips, fine liner, pigment liners, etc all smudge unless you’re veeery careful and give it a lot of time for the ink to dry. Safest option seems to be ball point or pencil, but neither of those is particularly nice to write with. If they could make the writing surface a bit more absorbant these would be perfect.
