what does flex volt mean ?

FlexVolt means that the batteries and chargers are interchangeable with Dewalt 20V. However, it does not work both ways. You can use a FlexVolt battery on a 20V tool and charger, but you cannot use a 20V battery on a FlexVolt tool. Be advised that using a 60V FlexVolt battery on a 20V will not allow it to run at 60V, but the AH will triple, so it will have a longer run-time. A 2AH 60V FlexVolt battery will perform like a 6AH 20V battery.

Can you cut metal with this saw.

Metal is not recommended. When cutting metal it should be cut with a 3500-3900 rpm metal saw. This saw cuts at 5800 rpm’s @15 amps which will dull the blade and get the saw really hot Remember cut would fast high rpm’s Cut metal slow low rpm’s
