Kingfisher Slim Fly Box with Teardrop Foam

My biggest problem with most fly boxes is that they're bulky. I like to tie and have lots of patterns and sizes on hand as I try to figure out what fish want. These ultra thin boxes are great in that regard. Really just good for nymphs (maybe small wets), but they do a great job of keeping things organized.

I love this thing. I pretty much only nymph and streamer fish, so it works great for me. Fits any size nymph and small streamers. Wouldn't recommend dry flies because it is so slim and will likely mash your dry flies.

This fly box is what it says it is. It is a slim fly box. Let me tell you a couple things it lacks. The slits in the foam work at holding the flies, however unless your putting size 18 or smaller flies, you will not be able to put a fly in every slit in the foam. The height of the lid when closed also tends to smash the hackle, tails, and dressings of the flies you tie. If your using this box for dry flies, it would work well for spinner patterns but it will smash the hackles of an upright winged dry fly. I am using mine for wooly buggers and larger nymphs so it works ok for that purpose.

These are nice. They are designed for larger hook sizes. 13 slots across the narrow dimension of the box.

Great fly box, holds approximately 140 plus flies, so there is a lot of room in there.I use it for nymphs in sizes 8 down to 16, it holds the hook well, the foam is really good.Its nice and slim and does not take much space in the vest at all.For the money, you can't go wrong if you want a nice slim box.

Outstanding design: very functional and well made. Excellent quality and great value.

Good price, and seems to be doing exactly what I wanted it to do.
