OEMTOOLS 23978 20 Inch High-Velocity Misting Pedestal Tilt Fan

This fan is amazing. We live in Texas so the summers are brutal. This fan keeps me cool while laying by the pool. It is very powerful.. which is AWESOME! The reviews mentioned it being noisy, and it is, but it’s actually kind of a soothing sound to me. I have tried the mister, but it does get a little wet, but my patio is very small so if it was at a further distance it might be ok. I am sure when it hits 100 it will be welcoming. I love the stylish blue color of the blades. It’s heavy to move. I can move it by dragging it, but I definitely can’t lift it by myself. I am keeping it under the patio cover because I am not sure how rain will effect it. If you like be outside in the heat, this fan will keep you cool. I love it.

The fan cools the deck with a nice breeze. Would be nicer if it oscillated. The mister works well also but cushions near it get a bit wet. We use the mist feature only intermittently but are still happy to have it! A great outdoor fan. A bit noisy but not impossible to talk over.

The fan was actually very nice. It did not take long to assemble. We wanted it for our covered patio to circulate the air enough to keep insects away. Its a fairly large patio at 12x30. It would have worked had it not been for the noise level. It's no fault of the fan, it would work great in the right conditions. We just wanted to be able to converse when it was on. Probably better for a work shop or a garage; just not for where social gatherings are. We never went as far as hooking up the mister so can not comment on that aspect.

Sweltering summers in San Antonio brings with it much fun, but, also uncontrollable Texas-sized flies and mosquitoes. This OEM large misting fan is the definition of powerful in every way in which I would’ve expected. It keeps us, our 2 dogs, and, our guests suitably cool all the while being no match for our flying friends. Do take note; big powerful fan, big powerful motor. Due to this it is loud at any speed as any fan of this nature would be. But I can assure you that it’s benefits far outweigh that slight potential drawback. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I ordered this fan hoping it would be as good as the other reviews stated, I was let down. I ordered my first fan and the box came in completely torn up. It was taped together and had holes all over it. I took pictures just in case and I am glad I did. I immediately setup the fan just in case and I thought things were OK with it. However that did not last long! The fan oscillates correctly but upon pulling up the stopper I noticed the fan would not lock in place. Its just moves in whatever the direction the wind is blowing outside. I called OEM Tools support and confirmed this was not working as designed. Support let me know that I should order another fan and then return this one. I immediately did that and was hopeful the new fan could be locked into position. I received the second fan in a few days, in which I was happy to see the box was in much better shape. Unfortunately after setting it up, the second fas has the IDENTICAL issue! I called support again and validated this is not supposed to operate this way. I spoke to Antonio (from support) and he validated this is again broken. He even told me he would pull one off the shevles and see if it has the same problem. I have not heard back since last week yet. Support is only M -F so I will call yet again tomorrow. At this rate, I would NOT recommend this fan. It has a lot of potential but the quality is poor. Im not sure how many people would be willing to put out that $279.99 dollars and get quality like this. Im hoping the manufacturer will set up and replace the motor under the warranty AFTER they test it and validates it works correctly!!

Purchased two of these. Yes, one was damaged as most reviews mentioned. However it did not impact the performance of the fan. I can see how some people get a wobble on the fan, the small screw to tighten the fan down is not in the easiest location. Luckily I had my own tools to tighten it down which was much easier. Fans work great. I have them each mounted to a 4x4 that is cemented in. Mister works great as well.

I bought this fan to use on my covered patio in Texas. It is really a nice, heavy duty fan. It was easy to assemble. Easy to use. With the mister on, the temperature feels like its 10 degrees cooler, so it is comfortable to sit outside, even when the temperatures reach 100 or above. Many of the reviews mention that the fan is loud. I was worried about that, but, I completely disagree. I would consider the noise level to be normal. I had no problem talking with my guests while the fan was blowing away in the background, keeping us cool and comfortable!

I was expecting more to be honest. It blows hard, but not as I expected. From about 15-20ft away it is not constant, you feel it only in bursts. The fan came in beat up, many of the wires on the cage were bent, the cage itself didn't fit well together, the clamps were bent and the instructions were not only bad, but were wrong. I had enough mechanical sense to figure it out on my own after a basic illustration which is about all you get with the instructions. The mister thing like soaks you. I don't even use it. It wasn't supposed to, but you're drenched in water after sitting under it for a few minutes. Water drips down from them within minutes and you get like flying rain drops. Cute idea, does not deliver. It didn't feel well made and for the price I was honestly expecting more. It stays outside so we'll see how well it fairs in the weather. Now right infront of the thing, you can feel it. But a few feet away with the slightest breeze outside and you can't even feel the fan blowing at you.
