I would recommend when you buy the stove to order this, the carry bag and the fuel bottle at the same time. You'll be glad you did. And when you get your stove the first thing I would do is find a deburring tool. Small file sandpaper emery board and debur the edges of the potholder. If you buy the anodized pan set, you'll find that the sharp edges on it scratch the Dickens out of your pan.

Works as advertised and it keeps the non-stick fry pan from being scratched when packed up. Inner ring fits over the pots. Outer ring is used when you want to keep the windscreen base from sinking into the snow or sand so make sure you do all your chopping and cutting on it before placing it under the stove base.

I like this disc and think it accomplishes the task of making the Storm Cooker a complete system. The disc protects the fry pan while in transport, can be used on top of the Storm Cooker as a cutting board, lid to keep your food warm and lastly a strainer that actually works.

Not a necessary, but a great luxury Trangia item. We have the Trangia 25 and before the disc arrived I had made two other circular cutting boards. Those worked great, but I did want something a bit thicker. I was browsing one day and came upon the Multi-Disc. Why not? Turns out, it was a pretty sweet thing indeed. I now have 3 cutting boards plus a strainer. It works how it says. I do wish it would be produced out of high temperature silicon for use as a lid or hot trivet. However, it does what I 'd like it to -- keep dirt off my veggies.

A must have for Trangia cook kits whether its a model 25 or 27.

I don’t mind being a bit big, still fits the bottom of my 27 and with a larger strap (separate purchase) makes it perfect for transport.

How useful can around piece of plastic with some holes and notch cut out of it be? Well it turns out very useful. As a keen Trangia user I like to prepare and cook meals away from home. I try to avoid taking pre-cooked things to reheat or just opening a can, this often means cooking from scratch and as such have a need to chop things. I had been using a small, rectangular, chopping board that I had to carry separately, but now I have this multi disc I can fit the chopping board in my Trangia cook kit. I was a bit concerned that it would be too small and the food would fall off the edge of it, and while it is not as large as your chopping board in your home kitchen, I have found it more than adequate during use. I have not had the opportunity to test it as a strainer to pour off the cooking water from pasta, however, I can confirm the pot grips fits perfectly in the cutout notch, and I can see no issue using it, however, as a left-handed person, the multi disc is set up for right-handed people more so than lefties. But as all left-handed people will attest we live in a world that is right hand biased. All in all a fantastic purchase and has made my Trangia even easier to use away from home that it was already.
