This little pill splitter is great! It does the job just like it is supposed to do - the blade is super sharp and splits the pills without too much pressure. It’s pretty safe because of the way it’s constructed and has edges which help with pill retention in the device after they’ve been split. One thing that I really appreciate about it is that there’s a small area inside the mechanism where you can use the lid to crush pills if you need them in a powdered form. This is perfect if you have difficulty swallowing pills or if you need to crush them up to convince a pet to take their medication by mixing it with food. Very convenient. I also like that it’s available in a variety of colors, just in case you need more than one splitter for different purposes. I can see how if you drop it on a hard surface it might break, but as long as you’re fairly careful with it that shouldn’t be an issue. It’s a good value at this price point. Definitely recommend it.

Works exactly as advertised: put the pill in, close the lid, and get two halves. Then stare at them. Is the left one slightly bigger? It’s definitely bigger. No, maybe it’s the angle. Rotate them. Compare again. Consider weighing them. Nothing complements an anxiety/OCD medication quite like having to cut the anxiety/OCD medication exactly in half every single day. The blade is sharp, the pill stays positioned reasonably well, and it’s compact and inexpensive. Color may vary, which presents an obvious solution: buy blue, black, green, pink/fuchsia, and purple, then conduct a controlled trial to determine which one produces the most symmetrical halves. Repeat until symptoms improve. VERDICT: Cuts pills in half. Whether my brain agrees they’re actually halves is outside the manufacturer’s control. 5/5.

This works well for the most part, but I have noticed quite a few pills. It doesn’t cut clean in half part of the pill ends up crumbling some.

Honestly a great little pill cutter for the price! You do have to be gentle with it and have a steady hand as it’s very light weight and moves about easily. Lining it up exactly right can take a minute or two. But slices pretty much perfectly and great to hold the second half in until you need it.. just be cautious when closing the lid with the second half still in there, first time I didn’t push the second half to the side and the knife came back down on it and crushed it (user error 🤣). If you don’t have steady hands, maybe buy a bigger one that is a bit more sturdy. But if that’s not a concern - just buy it, my pills are relatively small (photos attached) and I’ve had no issues after using it for about a month.

This pill cutter is just ok .. I have two pills to cut and I fill the pill organizers two weeks at a time so one pill is 14 pills to cut and the other is 7 ( due to dosage) cutting the small round pill should be quick and easy and it basically is but the pills never cut into equal parts and quite a bit of dust is left behind.. but if you want to cut OBLONG pills in half, be prepared to be patient because it’s a MAJOR HASSLE

They work for small pills. At first I was confused. This thing cuts the pills in half, half the pill is saved in a container, the other half is delivered to an open pocket for you immediate consumption. I like to cut my pills in advance, so at first I did not quite figure out why half the pill kept falling out. Once I figured it out, it's fine

This Ezy Dose Pill Cutter/Splitter does what it's designed to do...cut pills. This is my 3rd one. It's plastic, and it will eventually develop stress cracks on the top cover/cutter portion and break in half. Reinforcing it may help, but that will raise the price. Each one has lasted 2-3 years before breaking so the design flaw is worth it for the inexpensive price. The cutting performance is good, it's easy to use, splits pills as described, and the pills stay in place and aren't crushed.
