There is a socket on the back of the sound bar marked bass. You just plug the lead into that and put the plug at the other end of the lead into the bass module. There are also instructions on the Bose website

Will this be good sound for a 65" tv?

It's more about the size of the room, more than the size of the TV. Having said that, I doubt a 65 inch screen is in a box room. The speaker is great. The sound quality is rich and sharp. So unless you're looking to open a Cinema, I'd highly recommend it. I hope this helps.

Is this compatiple with my motherboard on pc, asus strix z490-a? the tech specs for the mobo do say it has a optical s/pdif in port(s) at back panel.

This product should normally work with a PC as long as it has an optical port or an HDMI ARC port (standard HDMI will not work).
