"i'm 6'4", 255# it recommends a xl, but i wear 2xl. what should i get?

You are about 2 inches taller than, but we are the size.. xl was perfect for me. It hide moobs and makes you look slimmer.

Does this compress the chest too or just the stomach ?

It compresses the chest very well! I purchased it for a young man who needed his chest to be flattened. This top does an excellent job!

I’m 5’10 215 pounds what size should I get?

You should be good with a L. Won't be too big or small. It would fit just right.

i just received shirt it says large on tag cannot get over my shoulders! I'm 6 foot and 180 lbs is size large correct for me

I’m 5’10” and 180 and the large size fits me well. Follow the instructions on how to put it on. You might need help the first time. Once I got used to the feel, I was able to put it in independently.
