Hi-Spec Impact Drill Driver Screw Bit Set with Nut Drivers for Repairs

Nice set of various drill driver screw bits. Comes with magnetic attachments of various lengths, which is very handy. They appear robust and, hopefully, should last. So, value for money thus far.

Since I own an impact driver I thought I would buy a set of impact rated bits, I wasn't keen on spending a lot on bits since I rarely use an impact so I settled on this Hi-Spec set.I am happy to say that these are impact rated, I put together some palette wood garden planters with it and my Phillips bit happily drove wood screws in without shattering.Despite that I can't say the same for tradesmen who may use an impact for more heavy duty purposes like driving lag screws through denser wood. I haven't used my bits for long and the thin protective black coating is starting to wear off on my Phillips bit. I would maybe go for a nicer set for heavy duty tasks.I do enjoy the variety of bits though, some more expensive bit sets use more generalized and standard bits and it's in a quite compact box which is great for portability.

Picked these up around the same time as my compact impact driver and they’ve had plenty of use since, mainly across caravan renovations and general jobs around the house.So far, I haven’t had a single bit break, which surprised me a bit given some of the reviews. They’ve handled driving screws, taking things apart, and all the usual bits you throw at a set like this without any problems.There’s a good mix of sizes in here as well. I’ve not run into a situation yet where I didn’t have the bit I needed, which is half the battle with cheaper sets.The case is compact and easy to keep everything organised, which sounds minor but makes a difference when you’re actually using it regularly.I’ve seen some people say they’re not suited for impact drivers or that bits snapped early. I can only go off my own use, but paired with my driver they’ve held up fine. No slipping, no rounding off, no breakages.They’re not indestructible tools, but if you’re using them properly, they seem more than capable.Only downside is you’ll probably stop blaming your tools when something doesn’t line up… which is slightly annoying.Overall, for the price, this set has done everything I’ve needed it to and more. Easy 5 stars from me.
