This is a great pizza stone! While the other one that I have is an inch bigger in diameter, this one is a good 1/4 thicker and distributes the heat better. I loved making my family pizza night dinner on this guy! I like to leave the pizza stone in the oven as it heats up and then place my pizza on top of it. Of course, this wouldn't work if you were building your own pizza on it, but it gave a very wonderful golden brown crust! It came in a very well padded box, and I did not have to worry about the stone arriving broken, like you have to sometimes contend with from other companies. Don't hesitate to buy this product if it some thing that you are looking for, even if you are gong to have to ship it across country :)

EXCELLENT pizza stone!the BEST i have found, & I have had MANY.EVERY one of the bad reviews i have been reading are the result of buyer error. i should know, i have done the exact same thing & finally learned from my mistakes. DO NOT wash these with ANYTHING other than CLEAN water or they will retain that substance! they are VERY porous, & that is part of what makes them so GREAT to use for pizza. Each use makes it smell more like pizza as the ingredients permeate the stone & it becomes more "seasoned" & gets that cooking residue - some called it "stains" - on it from multiple uses. i don't even wash the stone after it cools, i just wipe it off with damp rag. you MUST get the stone up to temperature BEFORE placing the pizza on it or it will stick. (personally i place it in a cool oven & turn the oven on to the correct setting so it heats up gradually) i also let it sit in the oven as the ovens cools after removing my pizza so as not to expose it to extreme temperature changes ever. This stone has transformed my pizza eating experience! My friends are AMAZED at the taste & texture of pizzas cooked on this! Even frozen pizzas are drastically different when they are cooked on this stone. (i let them thaw out before cooking them) Others have mentioned the packaging, & it is off the charts. A dozen eggs would make it to you unbroken if they were packaged in this box. All in all, for the price & thickness of this stone, there is nothing else available ANYWHERE that even comes CLOSE to comparing. You will never look at home-cooked pizza the same way again after using this stone the first time. It is THAT good. I wasn't paid & didn't receive anything free for this review - although that would have been nice LOL! GREAT product from a GREAT seller that actually CARES, just look at the reviews if you don't believe me. I'm buying more because there will not be ANYTHING that comes down the road in the future that will be a better value or do a better job of cooking pizza. The thin stones always break eventually, but this one is bulletproof. Enjoy your pizza!

Seriously, don't waste your time and just buy this pizza stone. Due to being a bit obsessive about doing research on a product and vendor before buying anymore, I investigated several stones and this one is worth more than what I spent on it.Packaging: I have to go into this, especially as lately I've received a few items damaged and that was one of my chief concerns ordering this online. Let me tell you, short of someone thinking this is a trampoline rated for a 350lb person, this stone was protected! It sits tight and secure inside all that foam which is a dense sort that does not buckle easily. This density protects it from other boxes or rough handling that such a package will typically run into. The box itself is also fairly sturdy, but by far the strength of the packaging is the dense foam material that surrounds the stone on all sides, including the top.Product: I'd give this a 6th star if I could. I've now put this stone to test on several different baked products and they turn out so much more ideal than without the stone. I've made things with all kinds of flours, standard, almond, coconut and flax, all came out far crispier and more ideal than anything I've ever made before and even reheated pizza tastes and holds up far better.Support: This comes with a flyer that sums up what you should do to prep and care for the stone, reading that gives you everything you need to know. However, a follow up email was sent with helpful tips to make sure if you take the few minutes to read it, you will be completely informed on how to care and use your stone, something I wish more product sellers would do given this age of saving every penny on printed materials that makes the old saying of "read the instructions" less available.Final: This really is a VERY high quality product, with a lot of care and professional pride behind it. It makes a very noticeable difference on pizza , as well as other baked goods where it's heat distribution will make what you're baking come out simply better than without it.
