The amazon listing shows the device which is clearly printed on with "Guest WiFi made easy." In the product description, a frequency is listed and the connectivity is listed as Wireless. However, the product does not provide wireless internet and is not wireless enabled. I have confirmed on the manufacturer's site that the R2 model does not have wireless.I bought this after carefully reviewing the amazon listing, sure that it was what I needed to get. This was at the beginning of the summer when I was opening a small business. I have now set it up only to find that I was lied to and that the 30 day return window has passed. Do not buy from here!The product itself is nice, but this listing on Amazon has cost me $200.

We run a 40 unit motel. We provide free internet. Having a password wasn't enough because word gets around and I wasn't excited about changing the password regularly. I needed something that let people sign in with their lastname and room number. And if things don't match up, I know to block that MAC address.I will say that it has one of the most thorough instructions I have ever had for an electronic piece of equipment. Setting it up is rather straight forward, including changing the login text and requirements. Even uploading a picture of our motel for the background was easy.Instructions still are not clear enough for a novice for understanding something like port forwarding for accessing the the unit from behind the WAN. But that's OK, I manage it by accessing it from a computer connected to it.I would say there are only two downsides.1. We "allow" long term guests to access the internet without having to sign in every xx hours. There is no memo field with the allowed and blocked MAC adddresses. Instead we are told that any verbage that is NOT a MAC address is just ignored, so we can add verbage in a line above or below the MAC address. This seems messy and has the potential of screwing things up. As it is, I'll have to keep a separate file showing me who belonged to which MAC address.2. Similarly, the only way I know what MAC addresses to allow or block is based upon an email sent to me when someone logs in. The list of current users includes MAC addresses and IP addresses, but does not associate this information with the login. We ask for the lastname and room number. It would be great if they would list these fields with the IP and MAC addresses.So far so good. One of the most economical and easy solutions for just such a gateway that I found.

When I first received this unit I proceeded to set it up for a client, when out of nowhere it locked me out. A reset did nothing to change the situation so I called support. The asked a few questions and 5 minutes later I had a return UPS label in my email. less than a week later I had a NEW replacement. Thanks for the support and a great low budget gateway.

Not support iOS devices and horrible tech support.

Exactly what we needed for an office park that wanted to offer simple free wifi in a courtyard area. Used it with a Ubiquity Networks NanoStation M2 for excellent coverage. Easy to configure the landing page.

amazing product. does what it said to do and more. and very good that it has a cloud feature means you can manage it from a distance

I had used Valuepoint and nomadix before but this router has every thing that you need for your frenchise requierment and it is 80% cheaper than other router. also if you send e-mail to tech support they will answer same day very best tech service. i have 3 at my three hotel and i am replacing at my other family hotel
