Waterdrop RF17 Water Filter Replacement for Waterdrop 17UA/17UB

Every 3 years I replace this filter. No tools needed. Turn off the cold water. Place some rags under the filter, to absorb the small amount of residual water spillage. Unscrew the old filter, with a counter clockwise quarter of a turn. Remove and install the new filter, with a quarter clockwise turn. Couldn't be simpler or easier. I put a piece of blue painter's tape across the outside of the filter, and use a sharpie to write down the installation date, of the newly installed filter. Makes it easy to read from a distance. Takes more time to run the water, until it's clear, than the replacement procedure does. Usually takes about 7 minutes, of running the water, until a glass of water is crystal clear. I have never had any issues with water leakage. Has definitely dealt with the funky taste, that I had to endure prior to installing this filter setup. No issues whatsoever. Highly recommend.

We have used Waterdrop as our filter of choice for 5 years and have been very satisfied. Our last filter did not seem to work correctly, but it turned out to be a clogged filter head. We had an older filter head. Becky, the customer service rep handled our issue without issue and very quickly. She sent out a new filter head and that completely cleared up any issues. Becky followed up to make sure everything was taken care of and even sent out a free filtered water pitcher for the fridge for our troubles. Great customer service. Thank you, Becky.

It’s original and not generic, so that’s great! The water flow is fantastic and my water tastes great it removes PFAS and other toxins, which is my main concern. And it lasts a year, so it’s great value. Super easy to change too.

I have this setup installed under my sink for over a year. First filter lasted 5 months, second replacement last 9 months. On city water and it’s on a separate faucet that comes with the bundle. Only used for drinking water. Does not last the claimed 3 years or 24,000 gallons but they quality of the filtered water is fantastic and I will keep buying replacements.

Recently bought a replacement filter cause I moved and didn't reinstall the old one for like 6 months. Realized my old setup didn't work in the new sink and couldn't find a good workaround within buying a while new unit. Hit up customer support and legitimately couldn't have had better help getting my situation figured out. Troubleshooting water hose types and everything. Becky was on point that's all I gotta say.

We moved into town from a farm where we had a spring fed well. The town water tasted terrible, chlorinated and dead. We installed one of these filters on the feed to the kitchen cold water tap shortly after moving, made a big difference in the taste of the water, particularly when brewing green tea and coffee. We just replaced the filter unit after about 32 months in an excess of caution. For all I know the filter would have lasted for the rated 36 months, but at the price for a replacement filter, why take a chance.
