I bought these for use in my woodworking shop to stick on various machines to add a light source and have found these to be totally functional for my use. 1. The light is bright enough for my purposes 2. the flexible arm is flexible enough to move around to get the best angle 3. the magnetic base is strong enough to stay put on the machines that can be used this way. I did not try the sticky pad to attach to anything, but have little doubt it would work ok given the light weight of the fixture. There are tons of these on sale and maybe mot of them are the same units with different sellers, but this particular one worked well so I have no problem recommending it.

A real bargain in easy to use spot lighting. I use these on my wood lathe while turning projects. The magnetic mount stays secure on my lathe with no tendency to slip or come loose. I was afraid the lathe vibrations would jeopardize the mount, but I have experienced no problem in that regard. Provides really good light and convenience for a small investment.

I put it on a sewing machine to give myself more light to work, but turn it on all the time because it's little, simple, very bright, and super handy. The sticky magnet let go the first time, but I hadn't put it in a flat spot. It came with a seconds sticky and that one has had no problems. The magnet is super strong so would probably stick to anything well at any angle. A very convenient and useful little light.

I absolutely love them for my commercial sewing machines. The magnet holds to the body of my machines wonderfully and the light is nice and bright. I love that I can move "neck" to just the right position. One drawback is the short cord, but I don't mind using an extension cord to get the extra length, so it's still five stars for me!

I use this on my drill press. It's fairly bright, I would order it again.

Due to revamping the sound booth in the church, it was hard to see parts of the sound board to adjust audio levels. This little lamp is more than bright enough to completely bath a 24 channel board in light. The magnetic base means that we could mount it directly to the board. Very happy with the purchase and how well it works.

I bought these for a CNC Router and my drill press. I didn’t use the thin metal plate to mount it. I used the incorporated magnet and stuck it to my machines. The magnet is strong. Even with the fast movements of the CNC it didn’t fall off. However, the amount of light was minimal. I sent them to the garage sale. Would not buy again.

These are magnetic base and works great on my sewing machine. Very brite, easy to use, has off and on switch. Will work any where that's metal.
