Delicious "Turron" from Spain made with the best almonds one can find in the world
This is the so-called "Torta de Turron" from Alicante, Spain. They are made in the town of Jijona, a place with a long tradition in the manufacture of these gastronomic treats. They contain mainly toasted almonds. If taken with Spanish Brandy (e.g. Cardenal Mendoza), they make one of the best combination of flavors I have ever had.

delicious and keeps well
This is a SOFT type of TURRON (some are really hard, teeth breaking hard). Not overly sweet and with a very thin wafer on both sides. Absolutely delicious. Keeps well for a long time (I have tried and long as several weeks).

Chewy not crunchy
This Turron tasted as expected but was chewy, not crunchy. Maybe the round one is always chewy since it is thin...can't remember...hadn't had it in a long while. The benefit is it is easier on the teeth...and it tasted just fine.

Great Turron Alicante
So far, this is the best Turron Alicante I've found here in the states. It is just the right thickness so you can break it into pieces, making it much easier to eat than the super thick bars. It is quite delicious, too. Overall, I'm very pleased with this turron.

YUK!!! TASTES RANCID
Even though it was months away from the expiration date, it tasted RANCID!!! I even had my friend try it and they have had these types of candy at my house before and they thought it was gross too. I threw it away. I will not buy this torta again. But the other Bar Crunchy Almond Alicante Turron by El Artesano I received from you was just wonderful.

My mom loved it!
I purchased this Torta Alicante with Almonds as a Christmas present for my parents who are from Spain. They had been dying for some authentic turron and I thought I would surprise them with this and their other favorite, which I purchased separately. While I understand this product is imported and authentic, I was a little disappointed in how thin and little quantity it actually was. They, on the other hand, thoroughly enjoyed it and it definitely brought back memories for them. I was pleased overall that they were so content. So, while I actually didn't have it because it is not the sort of thing I like, they really enjoyed it.
