Of course, you can buy bluetooth receivers from other brands which do the same thing, but if you want a strong connection that supports 4 Xbox controllers for game evenings (in my case), it might be worth more money to buy this keeping in mind the quality of the adapter and its lifetime as opposed to others. There is virtually no latency when using this and the drivers were easy to set up for me on Windows 11. The Bluetooth connection is reliable. I can't speak for the range as I live in an apartment, but we have had no issues with it disconnecting so far. Hence, high quality but for a price.

Works perfectly. Excellent PluG 'n Play (after Blueman enabled) on my Pi 5 running ubuntu with significant range extension over the embedded chip, but still very discreet and compact.

I play PC games and prefer to use the PS5 Dualsense controller. IMO it is better than the Xbox controller. I already have BT on my PC but the Dualsense keeps playing up. The buttons become unresponsive or the camera just rotates all over the place. At first I thought the Dualsense and PC were not not very compatible compared to the Xbox controller. Maybe it is. Anway, I have been using my Dualsense almost everyday for the last couple of weeks and I have not had a single issue. No disconnects! The BT dongle is great. Either by built in BT is crap or there is interference. I have the USB dongle on top of my PC so I guess there is a direct line of sight between it and my controller.

I bought this after getting a new (and not cheap!) gaming PC, only to realise it didn’t have Bluetooth. This little adapter sorted that straight away. I use it to connect my PS5 controller, wireless keyboard, and mouse - all work perfectly with no lag or dropouts. It was literally plug and play - straight in and working within seconds. Range is fine for my setup, though it’s definitely better plugged into a front USB 3.0 port rather than round the back. It’s small, reliable, and feels well made. Not the cheapest option, but you can tell it’s good quality with the response time being like wired! Highly recommend

I bought this to use with a PSVR2 on a PC, as it's one of the recommended BT devices. It works just fine, doesn't need any manual driver installation, functions well with the PSVR2+controllers. You need to make sure that it's somewhere relatively unobstructed as relatively good signal strength is needed. The easiest thing is to buy a USB type A extension cable, plug that in directly to the back of the PC (not via a hub) and then put the BT adaptor end up somewhere relatively high where it will have line of sight to wherever you'll be. I have it poking up above the monitor where a webcam would be, which covers me out in the room or sat down at the PC quite nicely.

Great purchase. It works flawlessly on my Linux box. Linux users have often compatibility issues with hardware, but this adapter was recognised without any additional git drivers compilation. My laptop decided it didn’t like the Bluetooth driver anymore and so parted ways with it out of nowhere. It works fine otherwise so I didn’t want to replace the whole thing. This adapter was a little tricky to set up, but I’ve had it for almost a week now and it works perfectly. I have had no connectivity issues, and my laptop seems to be very happy with it so far. It’s a shame that it has to take up one of my USB slots but honestly it’s a small price to pay to have working Bluetooth! The adapter itself is small and seems to be very well-built, and from what I can tell it has decent range (better than the inbuilt Bluetooth!) not that I stray very far from the screen at any time

This device is plug-and-play for windows devices therefore is very easy to setup. However, the Bluetooth signal is quite weak, so don’t expect to be able to use Bluetooth headphones with it. It works perfectly with gamepad controllers which is what I bought it for. Signal strength: 2/5 Ease of use: 4/5 Value for money: 3/5 Overall: 3/5

Its one of those invisible devices. My desktop did not have Bluetooth, I plugged it in and forgot about it. There was nothing to install and configure, it was pure plug and play on Windows 11, after i inserted it into an empty USB slot my Device now had Bluetooth, simple as that..

Goede aankoop. Eerst de BT500 in de achterzijde van de pc gestopt. Was een ramp, zeer slechte verbinding. Deze oplossing toegepast met een splitter aan de voorzijde. Nu kan ik door het hele huis wandelen met mijn koptelefoon op mijn hoofd. Geen wegvallende verbinding.

Con la penna USB-BT400 ASUS che avevo fino ad oggi, lo scambio file è parecchio lento, ma accettabile se non si ha fretta, mentre per quanto riguarda l'audio dei video spesso era fuori sincrono di qualche decimo di secondo, che non pregiudicavano la visione di video su youtube ma onestamente infastidiscono un pò, specialmente se si è pignoli come me. Ho deciso di acquistare questo USB-BT500 che è un adattatore BT 5.0 con supporto alla tecnologia BLE (Bluetooth low energy) oltre che retrocompatibile con BT 4.x, 3.x e 2.x per non avere alcun problema di collegamento anche con dispositivi vecchi e datati. Una volta inserito nella porta USB (una usb 2.0 libera va benissimo, vista l'esigua velocità del bluetooth in questione), consiglio di andare su GOOGLE, scrivere USB-BT500 ed andare sul sito ASUS global, sotto la scheda supporto e poi cliccare su "driver e utilità", inserire il sistema operativo che si utilizza (nel mio caso Win 10 64 bit) per poter scaricare i driver più recenti, generalmente quelli inclusi nel cd non sono i più recenti. Installati i driver (richiede veramente poco tempo ed è una procedura rapida), troverete l'incone dal bluetooth nel pannello applicazioni in basso a destra (vicino all'orario ed alla data) e cliccando con il tasto detro del mouse potrete trasferire e ricevere file, andare alla pagina dei dispositivi bluetooth ecc ecc. Il trasferimento rispetto al precedente BT 4.0 è più veloce e anche parecchio, credo che il raddoppio della velocità preannunciato dalle specifiche sia reale e tangibile, per quanto riguarda la portata è sicuramente migliore, ma certamente non si amplifica di 4 volte, poichè con il BT 4.0 a distanza di 5 metri e con una parete di mezzo il segnale già iniziava ad essere disturbato, mentre con questo BT 5.0 nessun problema, inizia a perdere la connessione e "tratteggiare" quando ci sono 8-9 metri e con 2 pareti di mezzo, quindi sicuramente portata migliorata di molto con questo BT 5.0. Altro plus di questo adattatore è il fatto di rimanere perfettametne sincronizzato con l'audio dei video di youtube che non presentano più il minimo lag quando vedo video con le Galaxy Buds collegate la pc, questa è la miglioria più importante e tangibile rispetto al vecchio BT 4.0. Supporta fino a 5 dispositivi connessi contemporaneamente (1 solo dispositivo audio alla volta), a scelta tra cuffie, stampanti, tastiere e mouse, auricolari, telefoni e tutto ciò che abbia un bluetooth internamente sfruttabile con la presente pennetta. 🟥 🟧 🟨 🟩 🟦 🟪 🔹 CONCLUSIONI: 🔹 🟥 🟧 🟨 🟩 🟦 🟪 Pagato 11.25 euro ad inizio dicembre 2020 e già utilizzato in lungo ed in largo praticamente tutti i giorni e ne sono soddisfatto, se dovessero esserci problemi aggiornerò la recensione, ma per il momento lo straconsiglio, poichè dispositivi cinese di marche dubbie, costano uguale o addirittura di più e non sono sicuramente migliori. Su Windows 10 e Windows 7 con driver corretti funziona senza problemi, su altri sistemi non l'ho provato e non potrei dare una risposta. Inserisco qualche foto e vi ringrazio per la lettura Stefano
