Which one of mm translates into a 1/4 inch thick???

It's 6.35mm. (Also, if you Google "1/4 inch to mm," you can easily make the conversion.)

How easy is it to travel; does it fit into carry-on luggage?

I think you could definitely fit into a carry on bag. Depending on the bag, it may stick out the top but if it’s a rolling bag you should be able to fold it up and fit it in just fine. It’s lightweight.

Is this made of rubber and is easy to wash off?

Is it good for hot yoga? my current one lotus mat is soft and peels off

I can't imagine doing Bikram yoga with the mat I have. My body heat makes my hands and feet slide away. You need a stable, firm grip on the mat. I would say no....not good for hot yoga.
