Delta Essa Brushed Nickel Kitchen Faucet with Pull Down Sprayer, Modern Single Hole Kitchen Sink Faucet, Single Handle, Arctic Stainless 9113-AR-DST

We like the quality & style of this faucet. Simple mechanical valve to avoid the automation headaches of touch It has been in use for only about 16 days, so time will tell how well it will holdup. EDIT/ Update: After 1 year of use & we are still very happy with this faucet It replaces an over 15 year old Delta (several valve rebuilds along the way) that needed a new pullout faucet head, that is the sprayer & the parts were no longer available. This old faucet had the separate valve body that mounted to the counter top independent of the faucet, because of the asymmetrical sink design a typical faucet with a Escutcheon would not work. Faucet needed to be in the far right hole to reach the much larger side of the sink This seems to be a low flow/ water saver faucet. We find the flow adequate & are happy there is not so much flow that water splashes everywhere. However, it does take longer to fill the sink. This was not a surprise to me as other reviews had mentioned the low flow feature. While using the pullout sprayer, if your not careful, it is possible to "kink the water line" & interrupt the flow of water. This has only happened to me a couple of times, when raising the sprayer above the exit point of the pull-down faucet while trying to rinse a very tall item that was well above counter top height. All you need to do is extend the hose first, with your other hand if you want to hold the spraying head up above the faucet, exit point without kinking the water hose. Not that hard to install, if you are handy or experienced with replacing a faucet ---> Faucet was direct mounted to our 1 1/4 (1.25) inch thick, stone countertop ---> We decided to mount the faucet with the handle in the Center, closest to the sink. This way you can turn the water off with the back of your hand & keep the water dripping from your fingers over the sink. Instead of dripping water on to the counter top every time you touch the valve handle with wet hands. I Used - Westbrass 2" Kitchen Sink Hole Cover, Stainless Steel, D202-20 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00403BXWC to seal the extra hole in the stone countertop - (great product see my review) The directions ... they are not very good for non technical or those without experience changing faucets .... the directions are not custom to this faucet -- You will need to figure-out which part of the universal directions apply / is closest to your faucet. The hardest parts? 1) Removing the 15+ yr old faucet .... brass nut & brass threads of faucet were a bit crusty & the valve body above the counter started turning, As this was going to be scrap ... I used vice-grip pliers & a thick rag against the backsplash to keep it from turning. 2) Next was keeping that thin plastic base-plate centered, under the new faucet during the install as it kept moving. (poor design IMO) ---> Delta needs to rethink that design -- It Should snap into place & stay there Steps - to install 1a) Know where & how to turn off the water to the entire house & test that the valve works. If things go poorly you will want to know it works. The valves under the sink do not always work or stop all water flow. Stuff happens 1b) If you have a well, know how to turn it off & how to valve off or drain the pressure. 1c) Wear eye protection ... stuff is going to fall in your face while your on your back & working under the sink 2) Shut off water under sink & test that water does not come-out of the faucet. Always support the valve body while turning the valve handle, to keep stresses off of the pipe. 3) With bucket or rags handy remove the waterlines to the old faucet. Expect 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water to drain from the lines. Always support the valve body with a second wrench, while turning nut to water line to keep stresses off of the pipe. 4) Install the faucet into the counter. Confirm the location & orientation of the faucet before your final tightening. Having a second person handy to check the final location, before you complete tightening the nut, helps limit the up/down trips, under the cabinet. 5) Connect the water supply lines to the valve. Always support the valve body with a second wrench, while turning nut to water line to keep stresses off of the pipe. 6) Flush the valve set, let some water (1 gallon should do) run through the Hot & Cold sides - catch what comes out of the faucet feed line, in a container. If you have a second person they can operate the faucet valve from above the counter. Solo install ... Open the valve on faucet body, so hot & cold water will flow & then use the water supply valve under the sink to control the flow into your bucket. 7) Install the sliding counter weight --> then make the connection to the pullout faucet ---> Install the locking clip & test that it is locked 8) Open water valves under sink. Always support the valve body while turning the valve handle, to keep stresses off of the pipe. 9) Check for leaks, open valve on faucet & check flow & then look under counter & inspect for leaks again Things that Helped: ---> I used the floor mats from the kitchen to make laying on the cabinet edge much more comfortable. ---> I used the correct size of combination wrenches & a deep sock with extension & a ratchet drive, to speed up the install. ---> To remove the old faucet, I used a basin wrench & vice-grip pliers to hold the old valve (from spinning) to get the nut off when the threads got a little tight. Brass threads to old faucet getting a little crusty in 15+ years was expected

The price for this faucet was slightly better than anywhere else we looked. Its a nice looking faucet, and installs quite easily. It comes with this plastic wrench tool, kind of like an elongated socket, that you use to tighten the hex nut. The water supply lines go through it so it can slide up and back behind your sink, which was great for us because we got a new 19" deep sink. The installation paper that came with it was very confusing, but we've installed a few faucets before so we were able to figure it out. It comes with the escutcheon plate for 3-hole configuration, but we only haf one hoke drilled in our counter so we didn't use it. There's a little thin plastic gasket that goes between the counter and the faucet. I was skeptic that it would make water tight and thought I'd need to use silicone, but once we got the faucet tightened properly, it does make a good seal. I poured water all around it and let it sit for a bit and no dripping underneath. The handle adjusts nicely and the temperature adjustment is good, and you can easily get to a middle warm temp. It doesn't go straight to hot, so the mixer works well. The handle travels about 90 degrees, to coming straight toward you for hot and straight up and down for cold. It does not travel back behind the faucet struture. The pressure is very good! I find that I don't end up turning it on full all the time. The button for switching between spray and stream is sturdy, and I like that it stays on the setting when you turn the faucet off. The pressure on the spray is also good, almost too much at full open valve so we're getting used to nit turning it on all the way for most rinsing. But full open is great for getting goo off the dishes, and works well with our deep sink. We have a 32" sink and the sprayer can travel to every inch of the sink, and even a ways outside the sink for filling a bucket or pot. I like the angle of the spray when the sprayer is docked, it sprays about in the middle of the sink. We got the matte black and it wipes down nicely, and dries without water spots. Fingerprints don't really stick too much, but those that do wipe away easily. Our last delta pull-out faucet lasted 15 years between two owners. The only thing that went bad on that one was the sprayer, twice unfortunately, but the faucet itself never leaked. I'm hoping this one will last a long time as well. I really like the hook height too.

Our old kitchen faucet decided to go potty (under the sink) about 3 weeks before Christmas ('22). We have an older stainless steel sink with the 4 holes. We decided on this one specifically WITHOUT the touch feature (or any other electronics). The last thing I wanted to deal with was a faucet that turned on and off just because it was moved from one side to the other. We chose the Essa style because it looks elegant, yet simple. Additionally, we didn't want a bunch of curves, fillagree, or flat surfaces to hold water (and also bacteria). This one is VERY easy to clean and looks as good as the day we bought it! We chose the Arctic chrome finish. INSTALLATION: I'm fairly handy and have some experience with home plumbing. This was not my 1st faucet install. Even still, this took roughly an hour to get it fully installed. Was fairly straightforward, but getting the base of the faucet tightened in a small space underneath and perfectly even up top was a little challenging. With my wife's help up top, I was able to get it tightened up perfectly. They do provide fairly lengthy connection pipes that CAN be looped (an 8" diameter is the max they recommend). There is roughly a 4' long hose that connects the pull-down spout with a donut size and style weight that hangs below the faucet. The design and material lead me to believe there would be virtually zero wear even after several years. The weight provides the "pull" to bring the end of the faucet back up. There is a slight magnetic catch that holds the pull-down in place. We're on a well, and our water pressure is set between 30-50psi. At the low end there's not a lot coming out, but it's certainly usable. We're about to change that too and move it up to a 40-60psi pressure switch along with a new pressure tank (all that's another story). The pull-down spout works great in the normal mode, but when switched to sprayer mode, water seems to bounce off the dishes almost everywhere. Maybe with a deeper sink, this would be better. We opted for a soap dispenser to fill in the 4th hole of the sink, but we chose the dispenser from a different Delta model to match the swooping flow of this faucet design. Overall, after a couple months of use, this faucet is outstanding! Highly recommend it.

the aerator is supposed to be non replaceable according to Delta customer service. If clogged you will need to buy a new spray head ($110)! Installation hint: If you use the 3 hole cover run the plastic wing nuts up and down the threads prior to installing (threads are very tight) this will make installation much easer once you get under the sink, and lube the threads with some liquid dish soap.

Between ordering the faucet and delivery, which took two days, I watched some videos on installing Delta Faucets. There were a few minor adjustments but nothing earth shattering. If you are a decent DIY then you should have no issues. The hardest part was getting the old faucet off. Things I did come across: I had to use the included plate for a three hole system. One of the plastic mounting nuts used to hold down the plate was missing. Thankfully since I was replacing a Delta, the old mounting nut fit the new plate. FYI.....You need two people at one point for installation. When tightening the faucet from under the sink someone will have to hold the faucet above and make sure it's sitting correctly and straight. This part takes about 5 minutes. Other than that, it's a one person job. I found the supply lines are not as flexible as the old ones and really had to play with the placement in order to have no obstructions under the cabinet. Everyone's setup is different so this could be a non-issue. Total install from start to finish was 1hr and 50min. The first hour was getting the old faucet off. The new design will make the new faucet much easier to get off in the future. I placed the nut tightener in a zip lock bag, sliced a hole towards the top and slipped it over the cold water handle. That way I won't lose it when I need to change it in the future. The drop down faucet hose is not as long as the older pullout model. We have a coffee machine off to the side and would use the pullout faucet to fill the reservoir. The pullout faucet would reach without any issues. The drop down faucet barley reaches the machine and I noticed the water flow is greatly reduced like the hose is pinched if not careful. All little things to figure out. As far as the functionality of the unit, it's great. Love the look and style of the faucet. Water pressure is very good. Spray is tighter than the last model, which gives more power. Overall, so far we like it. If there are any issues in the near future, I will update this post.

The install was completed by the plumber. in 30 minutes. I cannot tell you how incredible it looks in the kitchen. Instant upgrade for the look. So how does it work. It is incredible. I have read that other have issues with spray. I do have a deep D shaped stainless sink. I put the water on high and I did not have splash back. I have read the stream of water was not strong. IT was plenty strong in fact I needed to slow down the stream. The sprayer works great. I took time while the plumber was in the home to really pull down and move the faucet to see if there would be any issues. I needed to move a few objects under the sink so the weight would not be obstructed. Great product at a great price during the sale. .

Exactly what I wanted. Replaced an 11-year-old pull-out Delta faucet with a snapped cartridge metal rod, which stuck in the handle. Even though Delta provided outstanding customer service, sending me a replacement handle (from a different faucet, but as I was assured, it should work) and a new cartridge, the catch is that it will take around 10-14 business days for me to receive them. And I live 30 km north of the largest Canadian city, so it is not about distant location but rather sluggish service. The reason I bought this faucet from US Amazon instead of Canada is that it was pretty much $100 cheaper to get it this way for the same model, with extra shipping costs and exchange. It took 1 day longer, but still. Let's see how it works, but it took me around an hour to remove the old one, clean up the granite countertop and install the new one. Had zero issues in the process whatsoever. It seems to work fine. Hope it will last me at least another 10 years.

After spending way too much time deciding on the exact features I wanted, I was able to pick this one from the ridiculous selection they have here on Amazon. This one has a spray/stream toggle that STAYS where it was last set and a magnetic docking spray head, and it sprays at a decent angle so I don't have to lean into the sink. (It also has a really nice design, but that's subjective.) General praise: Going from steam to spray is a breeze. The pressure is great. The size of the arch and the angle is perfect – I can easily hold the kettle in my right hand and reach across to the handle with my left to fill it. It was also super easy to install. We'd initially noticed that the spray hose wasn't retracting smoothly but once I went back under the sink and took a look, I could see we'd dropped the spray hose behind the cold water hose which was causing some resistance. It was very easy to flop over to the right side, no need to undo anything and now it slides back into place incredibly easily and with the magnetic dock, I LOVE it. I can definitely say I have zero complaints about it :)
