How to choose a transformer?

You should buy a 12V transformer with output wattage 20% greater than the sum of the wattage of all the devices you connect. If you connect 50, 0.5watt LED lights, you need a transformer with output wattage of 50 x 0.5 x 1.2 = 30 watts or greater.
