"Onite Universal Battery Charger" - A Better Choice To Charge A Battery!
Exactly as described. Would buy again. Would recommend. Great product! I gladly submit a highly positive review on "Onite Universal Battery Charger". "Onite Universal Battery Charger" features an adjustable spring-loaded door and sliding prongs.to accommodate various shapes and sizes of numerous 3.7/3.8 volt batteries. This here battery charger does a better job at charging cellphone batteries than if they were charged in their respective cellphones. It provides a rapid, efficient charge without overcharging or overheating. Batteries are charged in approximately half the amount of time usually required to charge a battery within its compatible cellphone. I left my cellphone's battery in Onite all night. Neither the charger or battery became overheated. The charger did not overcharge the battery, either. "Onite Universal Battery Charger" is quite intelligent, as it knows to stop charging a battery when it reaches a full charge. "Onite Universal Battery Charger" also features a USB output port in which a cellphone or other device can be charged at the same time. The charger has a lit indicator, which, eventually, changes from purplish-red to blue as the charging process is completed. By simply looking at this charger, I could not possibly ascertain how durable it actually is. All two hundred pounds of me accidentally stepped on my batteries buddy. It did not break a bit. So, its plastic construction must be pretty sturdy. Briefly described, this practical product does exactly what it's supposed to do, and performs the necessary task extremely well. "Onite Universal Battery Charger" exceeds expectations, safely and quickly charging batteries. "Onite Universal Battery Charger" had been initially brought to my attention by the recommendation of a supervising technical expert. By the way, this product review is with pertinence to my third order of an "Onite Universal Battery Charger". I kept two for my own use and gave the most recent purchase as a gift. Besides, I do, indeed, intend to buy at least one additional "Onite Universal Battery Charger". I certainly recommend "Onite Universal Battery Charger" to my fellow Amazon customers. Hope my product review serves as beneficial toward my fellow Amazon customer's buying decisions. Okay, that's about it. Thanks for reading my product review. Good Onite!

Great product: how to use it!
This is a great product! It works for many batteries, does a fast charge, stops charging (so protects your battery) when it's full. Very good value! No instructions included. You have to set it to your particular battery. Here's how: 1. Look at your battery. Find where the + and - points are on it. They should be marked, inside little circles. 2. Look at the charger. To fit in a battery, you will have to pull firmly, sideways on the spring-loaded door. 3. Put the battery in the spring-loader, with the metal contacts facing the pins, but not up tight. Leave a small gap. 4. SLIDE THE 2 CHARGER PINS so they match up with your + and - contacts exactly. 5. Push the battery up against them. 6. Plug it in. If the light is magenta (pink-red), your battery is charging. If the light is blue, either your battery is fully charged, or you don't have the pins lined up yet. When the light turns blue, your battery is charged, and the charger is no longer active. The pins slide easily, so you'll have to check them each time for alignment. Or tape the sliders in place. Using this with Samsung Note 3 batteries.

Works great, but whines when it's plugged in without a battery connected.
Exactly what is needed for anyone who still has a phone with a removable battery. Charging is not any faster than when in the phone itself, however, given that it's a standalone device, it isn't a big deal for me. It can be a bit annoying trying to fit the charger on certain outlets, as the prongs fold out from the device. In addition, plugging it into a standard wall outlet means your battery is hanging vertically, only held in by the clamp. It's unlikely to ever fall, but to get a good connection, you will likely have to fiddle with the battery and clamp while the charger is already plugged into the wall. Ideally, if they make a version 2, I'd like to see a little extension cord or something else similar to allow more choice as to where it can be plugged in, as well as to allow for easier battery connections. Finally, it whines when it's plugged into an outlet without a battery to charge. It's pretty high pitched, and surprisingly loud, but not enough to be very annoying, but you may feel differently.

I have a galaxy note 2, and the battery ...
I have a galaxy note 2, and the battery is not what it used to be. I got one of those portable chargers, but it would take forever to charge a battery that come with the note 2, and it was not only a little heavy to carry around all day (I commute a lot for work), but it was also a little bulky. I decided to get a second battery for the phone, and not have to carry the extra charger. Now this does work, and it does charge Both batteries (one is the original battery which came with the phone, and one is an Anker battery purchased from Amazon. HOWEVER this is not a simple insert and charge. Although the description correctly states that it works for my phone, the charger has 2 connectors. Both batteries which i own have 3 connectors. So you have to move the connectors on the charger (they slide to fit different size batteries) for it to connect to the second and third connector. If they are not on the right connectors, they light on the charger will turn on, but will not charge the batteries. You can tell that the batteries are being charged when the light on the charger turns red after it was plugged in. If you know that the battery does not have a charge, and the light remains blue, then your batteries are not being charged. There are no real instructions included with the package, (other than what is on the box itself), so I had to play around with it to get it to work. I was on the verge of returning it when I figured out how to make it work. So in conclusion. yes it does work, but be cautious when buying this product. UPDATE: I have been contacted by the seller and they helped clarify the issues. They were very helpful, and now I can say I would recommend this product, and this seller. For this price, this charger can't be beat.

This could cause you to die in a fire, or be used as a murder weapon.
Avoid or diaf. Fr. I had to tape the pins in place. Then, had to tape the battery down because the curved edges would make the battery pop up and out of contact with the slightest bump or nudge or even just over time. Keep in mind, I had to keep the charger flat on its rear where the ac connection was. Meaning plugging it into a wall socket sideway was not possible, or the battery weight would make the tape come loose and battery falls out. So using a power strip with top connections was the only good way. With these overly tedious methods, I was able to get reliability. For about a month. One day I smelled plastic, found the charger extremely hot, and melted on the rear. Could have caught fire, or at the very least melted plastic into whatever it was on. I feel lucky that my 50k vehicle did not go up in flames. Avoid this product.

I love this product! Works perfectly! Saved me from buying a new phone!
I was about to buy a new cellphone, because where I connected my charger to my phone broke. However, I thought maybe there is some type of Universal Cell Phone Battery Charger I could buy. It turned out there was! I bought this charger and LOVE IT! It works perfectly! It charges my battery about the same amount it took for my regular phone charger, but I don't care, it WORKS! So easy to use, too! I had previously bought a new battery for my phone as well, months ago, because I thought my old battery was going bad. I had decided to keep that battery, no idea why, but I'm glad I did. It turned out there was nothing wrong with that battery. It had to have been the beginnings of my charger plug going out on my phone. So I actually have two batteries for my cell phone. I'm able to use this charger for both batteries! So I always have one in my phone, while the other is charging. I love the fact that this charger is a smart charger, and automatically stops charging when the battery is full! Thank you for making this product! You saved me from needing to buy another phone!

Useful Universal Charger
Based on brief usage, so nothing to say about longevity, the Onite Universal Battery Charger appears to work well. I charged several small video recorder batteries, so small that they required a folded rubber band to increase their width enough for the charger to grip firmly. Though in various states of deep discharge, all responded to the charger and charged fully (tested by placing them in their dedicated charger and in the video recorder device itself). I particularly liked that it is NOT sensitive to battery polarity, so no getting the terminals in reverse contact and damaging anything. It will sense and charge without regard to which is Plus and Minus. I would not want to depend on this device for daily use, as it is a bit on the flimsy side, but for occasional charging of backup phone batteries, and similar edge-contact single-cell Li-ion batteries, my example appears to be a useful and economical solution. Get one and you'll be ready to charge a wide range of small Li-ion batteries.

Was very Frustrated . . better now, though not perfect.
I have an LG Optimus G Pro and two OEM 3.8v 3140 batteries -- larger batteries that hang over the side of the device, but within this device's advertised specs. I bought this because I will upgrade my phone, so wanted a universal charger. After two days of constant tinkering, my conclusion is that this product functions barely and not in any usable way. I have springloaded both batteries at about 50 percent charged and stabilized the device to get a purplish light in every instance. The batteries stop charging at around 73% -- and only reach this level if I keep them charging for many, many, many, MANY hours -- 12 in one instance. They seem to charge at about 2 to 5 percent an hour, which is completely unacceptable. I have sent an email to Onite to see if there is anything else I can do. If not, this one is going back in a hurry. EDIT 7/5/15: Put in one battery at 7:53 p.m. at 62% capacity. Purple light throughout. At 11:28, charged to 68%. Put in second battery at 11:30 p.m. at 61% capacity. Purple light, got a little bluer by morning. At 8:25 a.m., charged to 83%. Really? EDIT: 7/6/15: Contacted during a holiday weekend by Onite, which promised to send a replacement that would charge my battery in 4-5 hours at no cost to me. Kudos for the service, raising my evaluation to two stars for it . . . will report back on the quality of the replacement. EDIT: 7/15/15: Kudos again to Onite, which in response to a holiday weekend email, had a replacement to me within just a few days. The replacement is better, though not excellent. It charges my large battery at about 15 percent an hour, not quite as fast as Onite indicated to me that it would charge. This makes the charger useful mostly for overnight charging, rather than during the day. Also, while now the indicator goes very pink when I put a depleted battery into the cradle, the color never changes regardless of the amount charged, so I have to guess when its fully charged -- take it out, put it in the phone, remove if not satisfactorily charged yet. Overall, I would buy with confidence from Onite knowing they will make every effort to make things right, but this product is only okay and the first one was defective. I've raised my rating from my original one star to three stars. A sincere thank you to Onite for its excellent customer service.
