Backlit function does not work for hp-bs035la. Cannot recommend
The media could not be loaded. I cannot recommend this keyboard as the backlit function does not work with my hp-bs035la even though the description said it would work with HP B's models. The keypad itself does work but because I chose the silver option for the backlit feature, the keys are basically impossible to see unless viewed from a specific angle ...would return if I could . Fixed my broken keyboard on my HP laptop.
Totally fixed my problem with my old keyboard. Need a soldering iron to remelt the plastic nubs that hold the keyboard down, since you have to break them to get the old one out. Not for the faint of heart. Took me about one hour. Just take your time.

Central "Enter" key will not fit
The keyboard is reasonably good quality in everything but central "Enter" key. This key as badly oversized on horizontal dimension, and it is clearly visible by its right side sticking out of line and left side having gap smaller than other keys around. At first, I tried to move the related key from the original keyboard, but the butterfly mounts had attachment points made differently, so this plan did not work.Since I urgently need to assemble everything back, I ended up cutting the removed button to the proper dimensions and attaching it to the original butterflies.it worked, but now I have the sides exposed and internals visible.I can not deny, keyboard works, but it took me an hour more than initially anticipated 15-20 minutes and result is not exactly good.

Installation nightmare and will never fit right afterwards
This is not the fault of the product per se, but how HPs are put together. There are no screws holding the keyboard in, all the spots where screws would go are actually plastic ribbited. So you have to break all the ribbits to get the old one off, and I ended up using glue to hold this one in place which means it doesn't fit flush.
