P-XW1221SHP 12" High Performance 500-Watt 2-Ohm Subwoofer Enclosure

Clean sound, plenty of bass in a well built case. Fits great in my vehicle.

For a single 12” sub this thing sounds great. It is a great value for the money (if you can get one for $250 like I did) and fit right into my trunk where I wanted it. The box got delivered pretty roughed up but the subwoofer/enclosure doesn’t appear to have sustained any damage. It was in a box inside the beat up box so that probably helped protect it.

They sound Great. Got each hooked up to their own amp. I wanted down firing, so i can throw tools in back without any worry.

First let me say, shipping was fast. Like, very fast. The sub was expected to be delivered two weeks after the order, it came in two days! The sub itself, overwhelmingly crushed my expectations. I just wanted something that gave good clear bass without out distortion or overshadowing my highs. This delivered much more. I paired the Excleon 12inch with an kenwood excleon x500-1 amplifier. Wired at 2ohms, they are match made in haven. I was skeptical, going with a single voice coil preboxed setup, but I love it now. And the build quality of the box is perfect, none of that cheap plywood here. It’s punchy, and handles deep notes very well. I have it set up in a 90’ fox body. Now I’m thinking about getting two of them to put in my Pathfinder. I highly recommend this product from this dealer.

I got this to replace a Pioneer TS-SWX3002 12" Shallow-Mount Pre-Loaded Enclosure, Black, Mini-v308 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FR5HAU0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which blew after about 1 year of use. I finally smoked it! In my research I found the Kenwood Excelon P-XW1221SHP 12". I'm powering with a Kenwood Excelon X802-5 amplifier. This gives the sub 500w RMS @ 2ohms. The ported design gives it a great boomy sound. So much more bass than the Pioneer sub that I had. The box design is great since you can face the sub out or down. Having a grill included is a great bonus too. Definitely a great sounding sub a fair price. The quality of the carpet is much nicer than the Pioneer sub I had.

Paired with a cheap Planet Audio 500 watt amp in a Volkswagen Touareg. Standard 4 gauge wiring and a JVC head unit. The sub sounds great for what it is. It’s a single 12 that puts out clean sounding bass, hits some nice lower notes and immerses you in the music. This isn’t a competition subwoofer, so if you’re looking for something that’s going to shatter windows, look elsewhere. If you’re after something to bring those lower notes up to a point where you can feel it without blowing your ear drums, this is a great buy.

thought i ordered a box only, (paid $150) came with the sub and it’s super nice! love the range and sound on high notes.
